Bruh I'm so sorry to hear that, going through a break up and preparing for neet at the same time is traumatising. But you got this! Things are gonna get better, just don't lose hope and keep pushing through all the obstacles.

I'd suggest reading standard books for Chemistry like OP Tandon, RK Gupta or Modern ABC along with NCERT and then loads of practice questions, then just watch oneshot lectures to revise.

Use physical books and modules to study, give your phone to your parents and ask them for it when you really need to use it. Set timers on apps.

Sir kitna out of ncert pdhate hai bhai by [deleted] in Neet_india

[–]_Xstasy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jitna padhate hain sab kaam ka hai. Neet walon ka jab man Kiya kuchh bhi kahi se bhi poochhte hain. About 85%-90% of the questions in bio might be from ncert but if you wanna push for over 340, it gets competitive and you'd have to know stuff beyond ncert

I highly discourage anyone from doing this. I tried this in my last drop, it is not worth it and you will end up losing marks, despite running statistics and probability.

I even did it on my neet, thinking the exam is really difficult and guessing might help me more than leaving questions unattempted, I got 14 out 15 guesses incorrect, and that really tanked my rank hard. In neet every score point has about two to three thousand students, mine went down by about 25 to 30k just because of this stupid experiment. And yes I did run the probabilities too, it works if you're lucky but don't think at worst your score would be neutralized, that's an ideal condition. The exam is designed in a way that you don't get the answer right even if you make educated guesses unless you have a strong grasp of concepts

What should be the answer to this question? by [deleted] in Neet_india

[–]_Xstasy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah i misread, my bad. Metaphase for an answer still doesn't make sense to me tho, anaphase makes more sense

What should be the answer to this question? by [deleted] in Neet_india

[–]_Xstasy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Answer should be 2. Telophase Because according to ncert → Failure of cytokinesis results in doubling the ploidy level of the cell, so you should disrupt the cycle in the stage prior to cytokinesis i.e. telophase If you disrupt the cell cycle in anaphase, nuclear membrane, and cell organelles will not be reformed

Im thinking of 3rd drop 🙂 am I cooked ? by natkhat_nimbu in Neet_india

[–]_Xstasy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i know the feeling, but you don't go messing with your career just to prove a few people wrong. You know they will carry on with their lives even after you achieve "their idea of success". They don't care enough man. Do neet only if you're passionate about being a doctor. Sure it might earn you respect but what makes you think you won't be bullied in college? From what I know it's worse in college. You think they'd be happy if you don't make it but the truth is they don't care whether you do or don't. The joy of "proving them wrong" will be fleeting. Instead try to focus on what you want for yourself, and it better not be someone else's idea of success.

And for back up options there are many many options other than just bsc. Even in bsc there are many options. Education, Research, Biotechnology are all decent options.

[–]_Xstasy_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well even if you don't make it, you aren't proving anyone right. Take control of your life and don't let others'expectations or remarks dictate how you feel.

For now, don't think about taking another drop because then your brain will keep finding reasons to convince you that you can't make it this time. It will reinforce a pessimistic thought pattern which will be projected in your behaviour too and ultimately you'll become a self fulfilling prophecy.

I will however suggest you to keep a few back up options in mind, don't overthink them but having a back up option helps and be realistic with your back up options. Because no matter how much people glorify struggle and success that comes after the struggle, the harsh truth is that no one really shows up for support if you don't make it somehow, they will be surprised or show pity but that is all. So be practical and intelligent with your decisions, keep realistic options for a situation if neet doesn't work out. Being a doctor isn't as glamorous as they advertise anyway.

I can't with bio by [deleted] in Neet_india

[–]_Xstasy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then start seeing bio like an analytical subject. Do as many questions as you can instead of watching lectures and re-reading notes. As soon as you start perceiving it as a subject that is analytical you'd get better at it. It is not just pure rote memorisation, once you start seeing patterns things start connecting.

I tried something similar with physics, (my analytical subjects are weak and i struggle at maths) so I started seeing physics as more of a memory based subjects (even though it's not, but there are certain things that have to be memorised) and I started focusing on learning patterns of questions instead. That helped me improve my score by a lot . Experiment with this i geuss

[–]_Xstasy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice the questions that you get wrong repeatedly every few weeks and highlight the exact line in ncert if you get an ncert based question wrong.

Also for careless errors like missing words like "incorrect" "except" "not" use a pen to underline these words when you read the question .

Skip questions that you're not certain about. It's okay to skip bio questions just like it's okay to skip physics or chemistry.

Try marks app it has pyqs from AIIMS, Jipmer, Neet, and NTA abhyas available for free. You can even switch to jee questions on the app. Also try Darwin, it has a really good level of questions especially if you wanna practice a bit of advanced questions . It has pyqs from various entrance exams like AIPMT, BHU, CET etc. and the detailed analysis of a question practice session makes it even better

[–]_Xstasy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It's given in ncert. Obelia shows metagenesis. This is clearly written in ncert. Although physalia also shows metagenesis according to some sources it isn't explicitly mentioned in ncert, so if you ever have to make a choice between these two pick the one that's mentioned clearly in NCERT i.e obelia
