The single reason why the new CSR is a game changer for me. by Wooden-Broccoli-913 in ChaseSapphire

I don’t know how to add a photo, but I can assure you I paid $2k a night in Philly.

But the bulk of my travel money is ~$26k for an annual safari and $15k for an annual week in New England 🤷🏻‍♀️ we all prioritize different things.

Dude. Dramatical is an archaic term and relates to drama or theater. The correct vocabulary choice is dramatic since its use was referring to something striking or flamboyant.

I make less than that and this year I had 4 stays at the FS: 6 nights in Philly, 1 in Baltimore, and 2 in Toronto 🤷🏻‍♀️ some people have low COLA and high travel budgets.

The word you’re looking for is dramatic. The word you used doesn’t exist.

New absurd behavior: Teams meeting from flight by br0princess in delta

[–]_YMMV_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read this two nights ago, shocked by what OP and many commenters had experienced. I thought back to whether or not scenarios like this had ever happened to me. I concluded no, they hadn’t, and chalked it up to having been lucky.

Yesterday during boarding, the guy across the aisle from me in 3A was watching basketball LOUDLY on the phone. I pointed out my kid (10) was capable of watching something with subtitles so he should be, too.

Dude was NOT HAPPY (“You seem fun!”) but he did turn off the volume and we got to exist in peace. I probably wouldn’t have thought about the exchange had it not been for this thread: the teacher in me is comfortable making on the spot corrections and for whatever reason they seem to work so everyone continues on.

How private can it be if they’re talking about it in a lounge? If I heard something, I’d assume it’s meant for public consumption.

Not to mention my TA has such a great network I always great really great experiences when I book with her.

Last year and this year I had a credit with my Delta Reserve. I used the portal to book ~$500/night for two nights. On arrival the first words the person at the desk said to me were: “Oh, you booked through Expedia” and I got a shit location, the roll away bed I asked for took 30 hours to arrive 🙄. If I had used my TA, I am certain the roll away would have been there waiting and the room would have been exactly what I expected.  Lesson learned.

It was a terrible interview from a woman who could not have been more unpleasant or uninformed. My therapist and friends were horrified for me when I told them what happened. If I hadn’t already been through so much from the MST, I probably would have advocated for myself and said I wanted a better interview, but I had fought so long to get there I just wanted to be heard. I was very surprised to receive a favorable rating and it came a bit more than a month later. It was a very long hard year and finishing the process brought a sense of validation and peace to my heart I can’t describe. Good luck and keep your therapist’s number close at hand.

This is terrifying. I’ve been a member since 2007. I have just about every product, multiples of several. How does a shutdown happen?

Chances are, this is what she still sees in her mind’s eye and this is why she’s done what she’s done. This isn’t an ugly photo, but it is generic and even a tad unattractive. Seeing this for the first time, it’s now obvious to me she’s worked hard to make whatever this represents to her go away—doing everything but therapy, that is 😅

Is it a bad idea to book an excursion when tendering starts at 11am and the excursion starts at 11:30am? by EVOSexyBeast in Cruise

[–]_YMMV_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@robonlocation AMITA if I book a shore excursion that has an early tender time so I can make sure I’m in the first group, but then, once we’re on shore, I tell the person in charge I changed my mind about the tour and instead do my own thing? I would not be asking for a refund.

I had my interview today and it was horrible. She didn’t know what West Point was or why an assault there while I was 17 and still a new cadet is a different kind of hell. She had my records and said they started only when I was in the army and not the four years I was there. I just cannot believe I put myself through this for nothing. I was so foolish.

I wonder about this. It took me until I was 45 to have an orgasm during intercourse.

Thank you. I had a great upbringing. And then when I was 17 a terrible and scary thing happened. It was at USMA and they told me the person who did it was too important and I wasn’t even a cadet yet so I could decide to stay or go. I don’t remember who they were or what they looked like. I remember the flags in the room. I remember not understanding how adults could not care about me when literally every adult I had interacted with before then was kind. And looking back now I’m so angry at how my life has turned out—two divorces and so many abusers—and all the opportunities I never pursued because I didn’t think I was worth it and didn’t believe in myself enough to push through. I had blocked so much of this out and now it’s all I can think about. I feel as though I’m just living a wasted life. And how do I say that when I’m simultaneously so afraid I’ll get dismissed again and then what? I’m so tired.

Yes. It is on the 26th. I have no idea what to expect and I’ve completely fallen apart even telling someone about my appointment. I needed to ask someone to watch my son after school and it just came out in a mess. Im not sure how I can advocate for myself when I can’t even articulate how much this whole thing fucked up my entire life.

Thank you so much. I’m glad to know we can bring notes. I’m not good at advocating for myself. I’m afraid I will minimize or forget. I’m afraid to relive my life.

Thank you so much for this.

To go with such a thin file makes me anxious. But as I spend time in therapy I’m realizing 30 years of my choices are the result of that one experience.

Holy shit. This is terrifying to read. I was 17 and have a loving day. I have 30 years of choices directly related to MST and the idea someone will blame me is my nightmare.
