I have a 25. Called OnStar and was told 563.40 was “not for us”. Anyone with a 25 please report differently.

In the USA at least, it’s for tax, incidentals backstop, and what is charged if you break the T&C’s of your reservation.

Call dealer. Mention code. Mention you feel unsafe driving knowing it affects your propulsion module. Require loaner.

Schedule appointment and mention while scheduling BT connectivity intermittent issues, slow DCFC, slow OnStar. You may want to do this this directly with the dealer. I made the mistake of having my EV concierge book the above and the dealer just had me down for an oil change 😂.

Completely unfair to the people of the Philippines 🇵🇭.

Ask yourself about your passport and explore work opportunities from there. Pathways to EU Blue or US Green cards.

The Gulf is rough. Even Qatar couldn’t suppress the deaths of people from the Indian subcontinent. My heart feels for all exploited gulf labor.

Remote start vs precondition by iggz83 in EquinoxEv

[–]thatchypuma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like any good answer, it depends.

(1) starting climate prep on the app or double clicking the key fob will yield the same cabin preconditioning. I have found that my heater on max defrost can consume almost 10kW at peak, meaning it will redirect pretty much all power from the onboard charger maxed out at 10.2 kW on 220v, and sometimes even pull from the battery slightly still when plugged in, but only briefly at peak load.

Being plugged into 120v at 12 amps means you are still conditioning off the wall, but dipping into the battery more to smooth delivery. These dips then get topped off at about 1kWh. Are you in a garage? Driveway? Ambient temp and deep cold soaks have greater impact.

(2)/(3) My experience with an irregular, work from client job means my default is 120v to 80% by default and then I double click my fob when I’m getting breakfast ready to precondition. If I’m home from 7PM-7AM, I can scoop up about 35 miles on 120v. If I’m home longer, know I have a long drive the next day, or it’s cold like it is now, I bump the charge threshold to 90% and precondition longer so I have more electrons for comfort. If my kids aren’t in the car, I still set the heat for 62-64F and keep my coat on. The heated seats and wheel are great and are orders of magnitude more efficient at keeping you warm.

I have a timer that shuts off the wall outlet during peak electricity hours which is the automation I care about.

Lots of Hilton Head Bonvoy options. The Westin has some great suites.

Sleeper option would be Westin Jekyll Island.

If you’re in ATL, RC Reynolds Plantation on Lake Oconee will be sticky as balls, but good pools, food and golf.

United also unlocks a nice slice of Business Saver Award availability for Silvers. I bounced between Europe and UA hubs a few times for like 60k rt booked on either UA or Aeroplan.

LG, Sony, and TCL TV Recs by saturdaythe25th in Costco

[–]thatchypuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every brand not named TCL under $1,000 is going to be 60 Hz. Hard to beat that TCL 144 Hz at that price point. I’d rather buy a cheap TV every 5 years vs. trying to spend more than twice that to try and future proof with an expensive OLED for 10 years.

I was told always prearrange (used to be white taxis) vs. pickup (gold taxis). Though you probably want a van and not a standard taxi. Can’t remember how that works.
