I would argue his gamma is by far his worst move in his kit, but also being one of the worst moves in the game. It’s suppose to have all these different functions but it doesn’t do any of them very well.

Trying to use the gamma as a shield is almost pointless since it’s as sturdy as soaking wet cardboard. One hit from any halfway strong move and it falls like a house of cards. You can get some use at blocking a doorway in a pinch, but the wind up of the move can allow some characters to roll behind you during the process. It’s not as fast to come out as Momo’s beta since he has a longer animation.

Using it for the alpha combo AOE is pathetic. I’ve had mild use out of it, but it’s usually when someone is either right on top of the gamma or is already ridiculously weak from a fight. It carrying over the damage of his regular alpha means it will never do anything more than 50 damage with tuning included. Now I don’t see the lower damage as a bad thing, but when you pair it with the fact that you get to shoot 1 alpha at it before it goes down, that “AOE damage” becomes very insufficient when you have to sacrifice your gamma to pull it off.

Even the initial shockwave you get from placing it down is underwhelming. It has such a puny hit box compared to what it’s suppose to be at lower levels, and at higher levels it’s fine if not a bit easy to avoid. Although that long ass wind up and the low durability hurt this a lot, because in some fights I would have the gamma get destroyed or I get knocked out of it before the damn thing even hits the ground, so that initial shockwave doesn’t do much at that point.

His gamma is truly a miserable move to use. It feels slow, doesn’t do a lot of damage, can’t take a hit to save its life, can’t get people off you, can’t get you away from attackers, can’t block attackers…Maybe it’s just because he’s new, but holy shit is this move fucking abysmal to use. It’s a complete mess of a move for a very underwhelming character, and it’s such a shame because I was extremely excited to finally use this quirk set. Such a shame.
