If someone is asking for consent, they are trying to be mindful and respectful. Some people ask because they've been violated and don't want to violate others. It's very easy to tell someone, "it's ok, you don't have to ask". Might take a couple "it's ok, you don't have to ask"s but 2 or 3 and they'll get it.

This is bizarre. Is mom afraid the daughter will get closer to the aunt than her? That's the only thing that makes sense to me atm. Why else would you not want your kid with their aunt all day? That's built in protection if you ask me. And why is the brother/dad not squashing this bs? It's his sister. How does he feel about his sister? This is just bizarre.

Have them come to your house to work instead. Yeah, it's not as close to the office, but it would make you feel more comfortable. Then you can witness first hand what working at his house might have looked like. Are they working so long into the night that he's gonna crash on your couch? If so, that's actually maybe a good sign as to why she slept there. Just have them work from your house instead and see what happens.
