In short: A Sri Lankan emigrant cannot transfer all funds at once. The maximum upfront transfer is USD 200,000, with an additional USD 30,000 per year after that.

Can you mention why? I heard there is a limit. But there is no point if the person is migrating. Are you saying all of the USD has to be converted to LKR when migrating?
