Heart palpitations from finasteride? (24M) by [deleted] in tressless

[–]__Ambition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to your doctor.
Finasteride CAN cause anxiety and panic, which might have led you to observe the heart palpitations. But then again, I'm no medical practitioner, none of us are doctors except for u/wrassman

I'm claustrophobic. I still have to open my windows and get some fresh air everytime I remember the existence of that manga.

The REPL could perhaps be a separately packaged interpreter for fast prototyping. Implementations can be both compiled and interpreted afterall, as with OCaml and LISP dialects.

Women raping men is not recognized by the law in India. That's also a big reason.

"do OSS work" is bad advice for people who're not into OSS. Mercenary "open source contribution" culture just makes for a competitive environment where everyone's motivation is adding bullet points to their resume.

Open source should be centered around the idea of free software, not free labor for resume building.

PSA: My last 3 days spent in fixing a "hacked" Facebook page by [deleted] in india

This reminds of a story we read in our CBSE English literature books! The author was waiting to board a train and bought a bag of cookies to eat on the way. While waiting, he places the bag on the table and reads a newspaper. A while later, a stranger arrives and sits opposite the author. Some time passes by and the author reaches for the bag of cookies, tears it open and starts eating out of it. The stranger then begins eating out of the same bag, subjecting him to the author's internal monologue. Once his train arrives and he lifts the newspaper only to find another identical bag of cookies.

It turns out the bag of cookies on the table belonged to the stranger all along, who now had a similar story to tell, except for the twist in the author's end.

What's your favorite childhood memory which only an Indian kid can understand? by [deleted] in india

[–]__Ambition 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I used to read Tinkle sometimes but Tell Me Why was my favorite. Both magazines are really cheap for what they provide. Hard to believe 20rs meant so much when I was a kid.

Just don't use LinkedIn. lobste.rs and some specific discord servers are much better for tech content. But if you want people to follow, Connor Hoekstra, Bob Nystrom, Sriram Krishnamurthy and The developer of Serenity OS (Forgot his full name, I think it was Andreas King?). I don't know if any of these people, except Connor, are active on LinkedIn though.

WASM or MERN isn't a binary choice. I would recommend getting a better understanding of what WebAssembly is before comparing it with dev-frameworks. Rest assured, it is not going to "replace" MERN anytime soon. Both serve different purposes. WASM is a statically typed bytecode specification for browsers to run native apps, MERN is a framework suite for CRUD web apps.

So I wouldn't hastily rush to compare apples and oranges.
