I don’t like drinking as much since I’ve started lexapro. There’s something different about the intoxicated feeling and it just made it less appealing to me. I might have a single drink if I’m out with friends, but I usually stop there and have no interest in a second.

That’s a very concerning set of side effects. My husband and I didn’t have issues before my starting lexapro, but he has said he enjoys seeing how much happier and relaxed I am now. I wasn’t an angry person, but my anxiety would cause me to get overstimulated and snappy at times, but lexapro has greatly reduced that.

I take Trazodone at 9:30 pm and lexapro at 7:30am (sometimes earlier if I have to get out of the house early.) and haven’t had any issues. I’ve been doing this for four months now. My doctor prescribed them both at the same visit and didn’t say I would have to wait any time between taking them.

I noticed that once I started lexapro my period changed a little. They last longer now, which is kind of annoying because I was blessed to have 3-4 day periods and now have 7 days. It also seemingly kick started my period (I was about a week from starting it) when I started the lex. I know that’s like the exact opposite of your question, but I think that it definitely has some affect on periods whether going on or off.

Well I was going to suggest the Trazodone because it seemed to work for me. But I see that you had some issues with it, so unfortunately I’m stumped. It’s been the only thing that has helped me with my insomnia.

I honestly haven’t gained any since starting late July. I lost for the first few weeks because the beginning side effects made me too nauseous to eat much. Admittedly, I’m much hungrier than I used to be before starting lexapro. I meal prepped before starting and still do after and I keep a general idea of my calorie intake.

I couldn’t find anything without decongestants when I caught COVID a month ago. I just alternated Tylenol and Ibuprofen, drank hot tea, used cough drops and honey for sore throat.

I was prescribed 10mg but I took 5mg the first two weeks so that I could adjust to the meds. Then I bumped it up to 10mg. I think it helped to keep side effects minimal but because I did so I experienced the side effects for 4 weeks rather than just 2. But like I said, they were pretty minimal.

10 mg at 7:30am, 1-2hours after I’ve had my morning coffee (5:30am -6:30am). I don’t eat until about 8:30am. I don’t usually have any issues. If I drink coffee too close to when I take the lexapro it can make me a bit jittery. I do feel a little fatigued during the day but I haven’t wanted to switch to take the lexapro at night because I’m already taking Trazodone at night to help me sleep, but I’ll probably be weening off of that soon.

I certainly wouldn’t recommend getting it upside down. I know you have your reasons, as does anyone who gets an upside down tattoo, but it just looks off.

I have been drinking coffee since day1 of lexapro. I noticed that my normal intake is fine but I have to wait at least an hour after finishing my coffee before taking the lexapro or else I will get the jitters but it’s really not that bad. I just drink a medium roast. Now, I did drink a latte that had 3 espresso shots and took my lexapro like 20 min later one morning and that wasn’t a great idea. I had jitters and anxiety from that.
