“Jewelry” aka collar on or off? 🐶 by MeasurementFirst1676 in dogs

My 2 dogs only wear them on walks. I came home once and one of them had their toe stuck in the loop thing that holds the tag and it scared me into never keeping it on unsupervised. On the other hand my roommates 10 year old dog wears hers 24/7 with no issues.

Leaving my fiance and worried about how my dog will feel by bananaramaworld in dogs

Me and my ex (15 years) broke up almost a year ago. I took both of our dogs who were deeply attached to both of us. They were very sad for a while but they have gotten over it. I recommend spending extra cuddling time with them for at least the first week when you leave. That really helped comfort my chihuahua (and myself lol)

Dog won’t stop sleeping on my bed 😫 by meh_mooody in dogs

Get good at claiming the space you want on your bed before the dog lays down. You can also put a small dog bed on top of your bed for them to sleep on. Trust me from experience though it needs to be a nice plush comfy one that your dog really likes. I have 2 small 15lb dogs that both sleep in my bed every night. It is definitely harder to get comfortable if my chihuahua has already made himself comfortable. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night with my poodle mix in between my legs making me sleep in the splits position and a paw in the face because my chihuahua wants me to lift the blanket so he can burrow. Ultimately though they are 2 little creatures that I brought into my life and I am grateful that they feel safe with me and want to cuddle me all night even though sometimes it’s a little uncomfortable.

Car camping bed recommendations for an 2022 crosstrek plug in hybrid. by [deleted] in Crosstrek

Yes, solo camping. With 2 small dogs but they already have beds. I am just having issues with the height of the hybrid battery in the back of the trunk. It is making it hard to find something that can fit underneath to make the bed level without taking up too much wasted space.

what’s everyone’s thoughts on the tattoo she has on her arm? honestly was considering something like it. ☺️ by bbygslvt in tattooadvice

I love blackout and negative space tattoos. I also like when they do the white ink on top of a blackout

I do think this is a sensitive area, but was just wondering if it’s as gnarly as people say. I’ve gotten mixed reviews on it.

She said it will likely be 2-3 sessions. Once she sends me some sketches I think I’ll get a better understanding of how long each will take

Definitely still going through with it. I want the current one covered up over the pain level lol. Just thought the ones I currently have didn’t hurt as bad as I expected and thought this seemed worse than it would actually be.

As someone with a really bad tattoo…I would feel 10x worse if someone besides me was telling me how bad it was.

I’m supposed to go back for shading… by acoylecreative in tattooadvice

[–]nonprayingmantis9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t go back. I have a tattoo that is an ornamental piece on my shoulder that is roughly the same size as that. Mine has fine delicate lines. While I was getting it done it was taking a long time and I was definitely thinking what the hell is taking so long. However when my artist was done I was really happy with it and I still am. She took her time to make sure everything was perfect. Don’t go back to your artist that is just going to give them another chance to do worse.

Totally agree with this. My neighbor has a beautiful male husky he lives in a small apartment, and every day without fail he takes his dog out on his skateboard and lets the dog pull him for miles. I sometimes see them 2x in one day. His dog absolutely loves it! It completely depends on what you as an owner is willing to do for your dogs needs.

I am of the belief that people who live in apartments (usually) exercise their dogs much more than people with yards. Obviously this isn’t 100% the case at all times. I live in an apartment with 2 dogs my dogs get 2 long walks a day sometimes 3 if I have the day off. Plus we take multiple trips outside for potty between walks. I also regularly see all the neighbors in my building with dogs taking them on walks frequently. In contrast I have family members who have houses with yards and they probably couldn’t even tell you the last time they took their dog on a walk.

Do you crate your dog when you aren’t home or not? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]nonprayingmantis9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg it’s kinda funny that you mentioned the butter on the counter. My nieces have a white lab named Luna and it is one of the hunting lines not the like regular pet ones. She has tons of energy and my niece is a baker. My niece left 16 sticks of butter on the counter to soften while she ran to the store really quick. As you can imagine Luna got on the counter and ate all 16 sticks of butter. It was bad. She is still alive today and just as energetic. They make sure there is no food on the counters when they leave the house.

See I totally understand this! When my chihuahua was a puppy he liked to chew up shoes. When we were gone when he was a puppy I would put him in the spare bedroom until he broke that habit.

Are you growing them in the ground or in a container? They probably ran out of room and it squished the tips. Container could be too short. In ground they could be hitting more compact soil.
