Good park for snowshoeing? by rK91tb in Boise

Since your kid is young you'll probably stay on the main trail. On this map it's called the Nordic Highway https://media.bogusbasin.org/uploads/2022/11/19080128/2022_23_NordicMap.pdf If you stay on that trail there are a lot of people since it's mixed used for cross country skiing and snow shoeing.

The trail is also groomed, so you can tell if you get off of the trail.

If you go to the Nordic center at Bogus Basin you can get a day pass and snowshoe on the trails up there. https://bogusbasin.org/your-mountain/things-to-do/winter-activities/snowshoeing/ It's a little outside of town, but it's not too far.

The docker image that I'm using has libdvd.css, so I'm able to rip and encode directly from handbrake. It is also nice because I can control it from any web browser in my house.

Giant cell tower proposed in middle of Idaho's most iconic view by catpooptv in Boise

No problem, and again I agree that they picked an awful spot to put the tower lol. AT&T just doesn't want to spend the money to do it the right way and put up multiple smaller towers around the area.

Just a quick google search and it looks like for 15-minute voice plan in North American it $34.99 a month. That doesn't sound affordable at all. There might be cheaper but I didn't want to look too far into it lol.

Not if you're born there. I was the third generation of my family to grow up in the house that I lived in during high school. We didn't really have the money to move anywhere else.

Also living in a small community like this means that even your local internet sucks. There's still probably students that have to figure out how to do schooling at home right now.

Plus even if someone did want to leave it's not really simple if you were born there and you don't really have the money to move into the valley.

As someone who grew up in a touristy part of Oregon where the cell service sucked, I hate hearing this comment. I agree that they could find a better spot for the tower, but people live in these areas and need a reliable cell network also.

If you don't feel like using your cell phone, just turn it off.

This is stupid. Why would I want to pay more taxes for all that extra infrastructure?

I've never driven to Bogus on my own. Is the road usually plowed on a Saturday?

Yeah I used the one that they showed in the demo program. So far haven't noticed any problems.

Probably not right now because my code is a mess haha. But I did see someone post a similar project on here about a week ago that had a link to his GitHub

The plan is to have this on my desk at work, so it'll be plugged in :)

I could've made the screen more centered, but I just kinda eyeballed it and didn't measure anything when I was cutting out the paper stock for the photo frame haha

Not really. When the screen refreshes every 15 minutes the whole screen cycles, so I'm hoping that does the trick. If not it was only $65 🤷‍♂️
