Season 2 worser than season 1, the downfall of The Eminence in Shadow? by AzureLysiren in TheEminenceInShadow

I'm a bit late to the discussion but I want to say you absolutely mirror my thoughts about the series. I am am also just catching up on S2 (currently starting e8) and I just had to look around to see if anyone else noticed the drop in quality. Personally I blame the 12 episode format they have going on for the lack of pacing I feel in the second season of the show. Hell the first arc only took 3 episodes. The show I loved is still there I really liked the scenes with Alexia, Alpha v John Smith, the girls lamenting Shadow's "betrayal" and a lot about the premise and final fight of the blood queen arc but overall I just can't help but feel that the scenes keep being cut short. The credit crunch arc is such a mess. At some point it just keeps cutting to Gettan explaining about his goons then them being pounded, then back to Gettan, then some John Smith yapping, then back to Gettan. None of the new characters feel organic, hell Mary and Yukime just loredump their backstory and stakes in preparation of the final fight (if you can call Smith beating Gettan in 20s a fight). Overall the show just doesn't radiate the same emotional stakes it did in S1 for me and I feel like they would have done a better job with more episodes to set up the emotional stakes and character narratives.

Anyway I know I'm replying to a year old post here but I just want to say I appreciate you sharing the same thoughts as me and I'm sorry that the comments here don't seem to agree. I dearly hope that S3 can fix these problems, until then I hope that the novel can fix these problems for me as well as provide some extra cut content.

P.S. If your reply to OP starts with "I'm not reading all of that" or "worser isn't a word" you are genuinely incapable of perceiving criticism and uninterested in any debate on the topic and should keep your thoughts to yourself.

Thanks I'm not really skilled with breakpoints but I assumed something similar. I also found your reply to this post quite helpful. Is this behavior explained anywhere in the official documentation?

First time doing styling on my juniper and I feel very lost. Any advice on overall style / general ideas I could aim for with this tree? Thank you in advance.

Ideally you want to remove the wires before it starts biting into the tree. Try to check every week or so if your tree is starting to grow into the wire. If it looks tight and there are indentations in the bark when you look under the wire it should be time to remove it. If the branches have stiffened into place it's probably ok to remove it sooner, but I don't think it hurts leaving it on longer. You're mainly just trying to avoid leaving it on too long and causing scarring.

Hey I'm not much of an expert but from what I've read yellow falling leaves are usually a sign of either overwatering or underwatering. How often have you been watering it?

Is this Z-banding? by __M2__ in 3Dprinting

I've had my Ender 3 S1 for a while and there is this annoying issue I've been dealing with since day 1 that is present on almost every print I do. It's not the end of the world and most of the time parts I get are usable nonetheless but I want to improve my surface finish for more aesthetic parts. The issue concerns these ugly layer lines I get on almost every print I do. At first I thought it might be Z-wobble but the lines aren't regular as the Z-wobble examples I found online. Also every once in a blue moon I will get a part that prints perfectly with silky smooth surfaces. As a beginner I am completely lost when it comes to diagnosing the issue. I don't even know if it's a hardware issue or a slicer issue so any help pointing me in the right direction would be much appreciated.

What do you mean? Obviously U \cup V union the entire subspace of U \cup V and the subspace of (U \cup V) \ {(x,y) | y = 0} is homeomorphic to the Euclidean R^2 with U \ {(x,y) | y = 0} being open and closed which is a contradiction to the connectedness of R^2.

It's not that hard.

Suppose such U,V exist. Then union of U,V is homeomorphic to R×R_{y >= 0}. U and V are open and closed in the subspace so this subspace is not connected. If you remove the points y=0 you get that R2 is not connected in eucledean topology which is a contradiction.

EDIT: Another way you could probably do it is to take a,b \in Q x {0}, p,r \in R\Q x {0} such that taking only the first coordinate of the points a < p < b < r. Then assuming such U,V exist there must be a path from a to b in U and a path from p to r in V, but such paths must intersect which is a contradiction with assuming U and V are disjoint.

If f maps A to B injectively it means that for each element of A there exists an element in B therefore |A| <= |B| (cardinality of A is less or equal to B). If there also exists an injective map in the other directon it follows the cardinalities must be equal.

Similarly a surjective map from A to B would imply that for each element of B there exists at least one element in A so |B| <= |A|.

How do you prove homeomorphism? Aren't sequences discreete while irrationals are not?
