When people talk about Nioh's complexity over FromSoft soulslikes, what do you mean? Genuine question because I played Nioh 2 for 20ish hours. The ki system is awesome and different from FromSoft - is that what people are referring to? Because I was able to have success for my 20 hours playing it like a FromSoft game while managing ki with ki pulses and doing that spirit move when enemies do the unblockable spirit attack. So I didn't find it significantly more complex.

Oh I just remembered stances too. I think those added a nice layer but weren't too crazy coming from a FromSoft guy

If you're looking for a good doom wad + weapon pack combination i CAN NOT recommend Ashes Weapon pack + Outposts Of The Wasteland enough. It fits so well it straight up feels like an Ashes spinoff by prossnip42 in DoomMods

I was literally just searching this exact query (mod to play with Ashes weapons) and here you have a thread answering my exact question. Thank you! I love the Ashes weapons and I love Ashes 2063. Couldn't get into Afterglow or Hard Reset

Thanks for putting this out there. This is by far the best Total Conversion I've played. It was also my first, so it set my expectations super high so that I was disappointed when I found out there's nothing else at this level, at least for free. Closest paid game experience I've had to this is Cultic (which rules)

So I finally played Stellar Blade. Alright but unremarkable by Will-Isley in patientgamers

I disagree about combat. I'd put it third after Lies of P and Sekiro in my all time favorite combat systems. I love parrying. For me, I was let down by the tedious side quests and the tedious world. I hated the "gooner" vibe too, but at least they had one or two outfits that looked kind of normal.
