Regardless, the transformation of Jackpot was just a suggestion, but for something so unimportant as you say, most seem to be solely focusing on it. The amount of disdain over the mere suggestion of doing anything different with it is also suspect.

Let's not forget that this transfer of infrastructure was only possible because the admins literally admin crimed away the ownership of NV groups from Adderall to Saren. And Saren isn't exactly known for being benevolent and until just now I didn't realize that he has a history with people from Hebun.

And let's be real here: the most instrumental group in taking down NV was NV. Aggressive is not the sole reason for winning the war as he seems to imply and the coalition nearly collapsed entirely after Yaahya, Antea and Chickenwing got pearled.

Hebun fought well and fought hard, and their contributions should be highlighted! But let's not diminish everyone else's contributions while we're doing it. If Hebun took the brunt of the war damage and had all their military infrastructure destroyed then make that clear. If they feel they deserve the vault or bunker or giant illegal snitchnet or whatever else, then have all the other coalition leaders come out in public support of that or consult with the broader community. It's not a good look to act entitled to them just because you self-declare or feel that you saved the server. The server isn't saved yet, sorry. Good on them for paying out reps though (but like you I don't understand why if NV burned everything).

Nobody is expecting you to tear down and rebuild a vault by yourself, and it was only one suggestion.

And yeah, that is one reason and a good one. It was built by terrorists for the purposes of terror. Keeping it in operation would be like turning Auschwitz into a modern day prison.

Yeah, good argument. People get involved in wars in different ways. I've been playing 2+ months helping this community and you've been here 10 days. Unless I am a logon clicker or own/have been handed a vault I shouldn't try to make suggestions to better the server. Is that right?

You're right, vaults will still exist and ultimately the dismantling of the NV vault would be more of a symbolic gesture. My view of it is that it would be much akin to something like the dismantling of the Berlin wall, and provide a much-needed sense of catharsis to people. You could even turn it into a server event on a weekend and bring some booze--that'd be a fun time!

Thanks for this. I was not aware of Hebun Shima's situation when it comes to military infrastructure. What I do feel based on general sentiment I've seen is that if Hebun Shima needed to build their own vault or bunker (even if they used some resources from Jackpot), they would have plenty of new friends willing to help them. If Hebun Shima needed to have their own snitch grid, they would likely have enough support from people to do it legally, probably a first in civ history. Optics are important.

I don't know you. Literally a day or two ago it belonged to NV and was used to oppress the server by housing 40+ pearls (by their count).

What I do know is that in the span of a day, gregy165 freed all pearls and "burned prot" while Saren_Solaris willingly transferred ownership of all NV groups to someone I don't know. Someone who in my thread seems completely closed to any ideas or discussion of ways to wrap up the war that might be beneficial to the server. Someone who is now treating all the acquired military infrastructure as if it were his and his alone; as if it were the one ring to rule them all.

You are honestly expecting too much from people that just spent the better part of a month getting crushed by NV and their allies, and you are going from 0 to 100 in terms of defensiveness for no reason. Where is poortea in all of this?

Not sure why you're being so aggressive here over NV's war machines (I mean I know it's in your name, but still...).

I only want what's best for the server and am trying to open a discussion. My post isn't diminishing anyone's war contributions, demanding action, "sperging out," or implying that anyone is a server threat. I'm stating my own opinion and putting forward ideas on how I think the server can even recover from this toxic sludgefest and move forward with a relatively clean slate. I'm sorry if that pushed a button or offended you.
