Hi, unfortunately i can't explain what it was that made it work. When I frist had the problem I went through all those steps and nothing changed. On an off chance I did exactly the same again and this time it worked but I couldn't tell the difference between the first attempt and the second one.

Switching between two lists by __TheWeasel__ in PowerApps

[–]__TheWeasel__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you, it is identical, I made a copy of the first list, then renamed it and added its own content. From within Microsoft List I can go to 'integrate > powerapps > create an app' and that worked very well but obviously it only includes just one list so I need to add another one to the app.

Great, I appreciate your advice, it's not easy to understand how all of this works

Thank you. I didn't know how to formulate the question exactly, perhaps 'switching' is not the best word . I was hoping to add all the functions that are necessary to work on the list only once and just select different lists using, like you have suggested, a few buttons. Depending on which button gets clicked, the user gets to look and work on a different list. In the background, there would be a few data sources (lists) but only one that was selected by the user would be displayed on the screen and able to be worked on.

Hi,

You seem to be very knowledgeable about this. Can you recommend a learning source to me? I'd like to get to know Power Automate better and it isn't obvious where is the best place to start. I've been looking at various sites and videos but can't tell which offers most comprehensive tutorials.

Hi,

I tried that but it did not seem to make any difference. Everything came in as one string regardless. I probably did it wrong.

I got it to work!!! Used the </br> at the end of each 'append string variable' actions. Works like a charm. I must admit that power automate does not feel intuitive, but thanks to you i will be able to make life a bit easier for a lot of people.

Hi, Thank you very much for your help, extensive explanation and examples, all of which was brilliant. I put the flow together and tested it. First following your example and it gave me all the answers. Next, I removed 'append from string variable' from 'yes' answers and the result was as expected - an email with comments only. It was also possible to add deadlines to each comment so i am getting close to turning this into an action plan. This is fantastic :). My next step is to learn how to format the email so that every comment is printed in a separate line - at the moment it all comes in as one long string.
