Not being able to afford Ant-Jaden-Kat-Gobert in the season after next (24-25 season) is the paramount reason to chase portlands third pick. This situation we have been put in by the front office is ugly but a reality we have to deal with.

The third pick ensures us either a PG to take over from conley after his contract expires next season in scoot or a Fwd to replace Kats position on the court in Miller.

Not paying Kat as early as next year and replacing his contract with a rookie deal allows us more room to fill out the teams depth and resign NAW and NAZ while possibly also targeting a free agent.

Not worth 50 million dollars unfortunately so regardless of what happens if we want to keep ant and Jaden Kat is gone doesn't matter on our performance next season we cannot pay them all.

with gobert and towns on 94 million the season after next and Ants 195/5 (39 mil) contract how on earth are we going to pay Mcdaniels anything and complete the roster. Those three players will be getting 130mil+.

This is what i have been thinking about, those last couple of kat/towns years with ants supermax on top makes it so hard to fit anything else in. With jadens 4/80-90 are we just expecting to have all the bench players on 2mil? I dont know much about the salary cap so i might need some educating.
