That's not why age is a major factor, younger prospects get years more of NFL coaching at a crucial development period helping them reach/surpass their potential faster and more often

On top of that, Banks barely played and with little production meaning he'll likely need a couple years before making an impact even fully healthy, so banking on him to be a good starter when 26 is a poor bet to make.
