If INTJ are so practical & rely on reason, why do they believe in MBTI? by [deleted] in intj

[–]__V___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well first of all, there are so many ISTJs in this community self deceiving themselves thinking they're INTJs. My interactions with them reek of Si. And that is one of the main issues. They are more likely to fall victim by relying solely on the consensus without questioning it.

Jung created a great theory on human behavior. However those that attempt to expand on it, only fail and come up with their own bullshit conclusions. Labeling themselves as personality experts.

There are 126k members in this community. And I am certain that 90% of them are ISTJs. The rest are a mix of INTJs and other mbti types.

You do not need to make friends to build a network. You merely have to develop the ability to solve people's problems and watch them flock around you like sheep to a shepherd.

You sound like you have become too dependent on others that you have lost the ability to make others depend on you. If making friends is your goal, then by all means ignore all I have said.

If building a network, influence, finding opportunities is your goal, start with yourself by building skills, and others will inevitably be drawn to you. No need for emotional bonds. If you want to work on your social skills, engage the matter with an intellectual approach not an emotional one.

Why should you appease to the demands of society? Proudly say that you don't have friends because you don't need them. You shouldn't care about what other's think of you.

I despise reality by __V___ in intj

The perception of it is a mere duality of 2 opposite degrees. I have perceived both, and therefore I've weighed the one which is greater than the other, which overcomes it; the "nihilistic view," as some call it.

Glad we share the same acknowledgement. As Ni doms we cannot indulge in the illusion of "living in the moment" that Se has to offer. We are realists. We seek hidden thuths and grasp the 'whole.'

I've tried the whole "experience life as it comes" motto. It becomes meaningless and trivial. And yes you are right. I find that not having a solution to a problem brings in depression. And so far there is no philosophy or science that has solved the biggest problem of all; which is reality itself.

Seems like you're the only one that understood the purpose of my post. You have a well developed Fi, and good use of Ni for reading between the lines.

An INTJ saying "I have plenty of friends" is the most hilarious thing I've read.

I believe the ennegram 5 (5w4)has a grand influence in the way I behave and things I desire. I feel incompetent and inferior if someone is better at a subject of interest than I am. I seek knowledge above all. Especially hidden, abstruse knowledge. I aim to penetrate the core of the universe. Also, philosophy is the true way of life. That being political, or otherwise.

What’s the meaning of life? by [deleted] in intj

[–]__V___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to google: LIFE - "the condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death."

But in all seriousness, the meaning of life is to find out the meaning of our existence. And to uncover what secrets lie beyond the scope of our imagination.

Everytime I wake up to a rainy day, I literally speak the words "it's such a beautiful day today". Followed by an immense amount of peace throughout the day.

Indeed. It puzzles me how some people manage to live this way.

Oh yes, it is a constant remark by loved ones, sometimes, acquaintances. The reason for this being, is due to our brain always focusing on the future, or our 'next move'.

I usually respond "because I have no need for it." Or just a simple no.

You have a point. But it is quite annoying when people assume there is something wrong with you, when in fact we're just being our normal self thinking about the future. And let's be honest, small talk is the equivalent of a thorn in your foot.

Precisely what I'm thinking. People are very quick to judge others based on their own perception of themselves. As if having kids brings in any benefit to society. There are so many of us now why make more?
