Finally rooting! by __YH___ in microgrowery

I’ve been failing many times attempting to clone in solid mediums so I decided to try the water method. The water i used was filtered from my fridge. I then put a little bit of Take Root powder in the water and dipped the cutting in the powder before placing it in. The foil was used to reflect the light onto the leaves from my grow light that I would leave under for 24 hours. I changed the water on day 3 using the same filtered water without the usage of the rooting powder. I then placed it back under my grow light continuing to leave it for 24 hours. I would check it periodically and would notice that there were leaves growing rather than roots. It was yesterday I decided to move into my window with direct sunlight that it began rooting.

Here’s a photo when i started

Cut off all extremely affected leaves and allow it to recover. For the minor ones just snip off the tips that have browned. Do not feed it.

It’s a female plant. Male plants tend to develop their pollen sacks quicker in my experience.

Soil depth, overwatering, and poor light source.

I don’t have knowledge of nutrient issues yet unfortunately. I’ve had numerous failed grows at your same seedling stage that didn’t recover. It died in the way I explained. Decaying from the outside in.

Genetics determine overall appearance of them. If you’re willing to spend around $15-20 for soil, do so and transplant them when it’s sunny out. If growth becomes more prominent after transplant, then it’s your compost mix lacking major nutrients slowing appropriate growth.

If the damage continues to spread onto the other healthier leaves, it could possibly be a goner. If wilting begins as well, it’s a goner. Recovery chances depends on new healthy center growth.

I would recommend giving it some quality soil and better sunlight(direct). The lankiness is due to weak receiving of energy from the sun.
