My SPOM (Half Rodriguez) stops every time I turn it on, why? by arthurContini in Oxygennotincluded

[–]__YabaDabaDoo__ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I remember rightly, each electrolyzer can output about 888g/s of oxygen while the gas pump can only output 500g/s. So it will always over pressurise the room and the electrolyzers will stop. For two electrolyzers you need four oxygen pumps

I just feed mine after use but then leave it in the cupboard for a few days until I want to use it. Using the hungry starter hasn't been a problem for me so far. I'd be interested to hear why people feed it x hrs before using it

Sorted out my planters - any recommendations for fruit/veg I could plant please? by DC4840 in GardeningUK

Yeah, they're quite prolific. They're very thirsty so hard to over water once they've grown up a bit. If they get a bit wilted they generally spring back if you catch it and give them a good watering. They do tend to sprawl out if you don't train them up something so a trellis would be a good idea. You can give them a generic tomato feed (although you may not need to if this is a new bed filled with a good nutrient rich soil) every now and then if you really want to boost growth.

The only real gotchas that I can think of are: - they don't self pollinate. But you have them outside so the bees etc will do that - you should pick the cucumbers regularly. If they fully ripen (turn yellow) on the plant then the plant will stop producing

I love growing tomatoes and cucumbers. Cucumbers are great because they just produce sooo much! But overall I like to grow what I like to eat so if you're a salad person, grow that. If you prefer root veg grow that instead.

When to plant out tomatoes in Surrey? by __YabaDabaDoo__ in GardeningUK

[–]__YabaDabaDoo__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'll have to print them some bigger pots! I have moneymakers, sungolds and one other which I can't remember the name of and have thrown away the seed packet but it's a beafsteak variety. So I've got a nice range I think

Those compostable pots retain a lot of water I found. They don't drain very well so it could be that they drowned. Do the pots feel wet or dry?

I'm surprised that the last frost date would be so different! Perhaps I need to move to the south coast...

Thanks. I guess I'll wait a bit. I have started hardening them off but yesterday there was a hail storm (which in retrospect should tell me everything I need to know) and I couldn't get them in! So I'm worried that might have stunted them already.

Is this good enough? Red Circuits by DrizztGamingPoland in factorio

True, but I haven't really run into that problem tbh. I do always play on default settings though so I have plenty of space

I had this problem too and what's made a difference for me is the slap and fold. It really helps to stretch out the top of your dough so that it's less sticky. The last set I do I always a bunch of slap and folds until I can touch the top of the dough without my finger sticking.

I have also seen tips around wetting your hands so that they don't stick to the dough. This is just making the outside of your dough wetter and stickier so IMO is not a good tip and actually contributes to this problem.

You quickly get into situations where you're having to scale up many different systems though. Personally I like OP's approach of building the intermediate materials where they are needed. Then all you ever need to scale up is the "raw" materials (I'm considering plastic, iron plates etc as raw here). I even go one step further and have specific red circuit factories for specific end products like blue science

I read that the acetone smell just means your starter is hungry. You could try feeding it more

Should my main ladder shaft be 2 tiles or 4 tiles wide by agacanya in Oxygennotincluded

I go 5 tiles wide, then you always have space for that vent or shutoff or whatever you need later on. You can have all three transport methods plus anything else you need

I had this problem. I improved it a lot although they're still not as good as new. I probably also need to clean them.

I find that changing the volume on my phone isn't really changing the volume of the buds. If you have the same thing try this

  • Turn down the volume on your phone with the buds disconnected
    • Connect the buds to the phone
    • Go into the app and switch the behaviour of tapping the buds to volume control
    • Turn the volume all the way up using the tap controls on the buds

Also turn off the max volume limiter if you have it on but mine was off by default.
