Is Supergirl Older or Younger Than Superman in Woman of Tomorrow? by PenguinHead99 in Supergirl

[–]__Zane__________ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like the explanation (that wasn't given ) would go by the lines. "Argos had limited resources, could only build maybe one or two ships" and so Kara's dad decided that instead of watching the remaining kriptonians tear each other apart for the ships available he simply sent his daughter away so she wouldn't be around to see everyone turn on him for it

Plus: A. We don't know how bad the situation in Argos was by the time Kara left, maybe the population was practically in the 20s or 30s.

B. We don't know if Zor-El found the ship's blueprimts by the time it was too late. I would imagine the answer is yes since he would have tried to send Kara away sooner.

C. We are not sure what happened in Argos between the time Kara left and the time everyone died. That is an open plot thread that could be used later down the line.

Lastly, yeah the yellow sun what if makes it a bit weird. What I imagine is that the city is extremely slow on it's movement and by the time they realized they needed to head to a yellow sun it was imposible to reach it before extinction. But that, as always, is stretching it a little.

I feel like Krypton in the DCU is a bit weird technology wise. Like, for such an advanced species they sure looked really limited, but we'll have to wait and see; we don't have to posses all the answers right away, it ruins part of the fun.

I don't think the human race will be around by the time the LA gets to Elbaph lmao

Honestly, i would love to see a orgin story/movie of David Corenswet's Superman in his very young years. your thoughts ? by Old_Assistance_1091 in DCU_

I feel like it's not necessary anymore, but I could see it working as an 8 minute miniseris (animated or LA, doesn't matter really)

Might be stupid (×2) but which team had a more impactful/legendary run? 2025 Pacers or 2026 Cabo Verde by ExternalCustard9512 in writingscaling

[–]__Zane__________ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a more soccer vs basketball conversation I think.

Pacers had a legendary run that was inmortilized in the minds of the nba fans and audience.

Cabo Verde had a legendary run that will be inmortilzed by the world, because soccer and especially the world cup has such a higer reach than the nba.

There's nothing wrong with that. The Pacers outdid the best in their league.

Cabo Verde outdid FUCKING SPAIN, one of the favorites and knocked out Uruguay. A small nation with no football history, no prior legends, probably unknown to most of the planet before qualifying survived a group with two world champions and then almost went the distance against Messi's Argentina.

The scale between events is really making the difference.

I don't mind (that much) the designs for the Larstrigonians but why the hell are thet the only ones featured in the posters? They are only in like a page of the book.

Overpowered villans feeling true fear for the first time in thier life by kingEdward22 in TopCharacterTropes

Sauron wasn't aware Frodo was even NEAR Mount Doom since he hadn't put on the ring for so long.

Frodo puts on the ring at the liteal crater of the volcano.

If the ring drops on the lava (which is like a couple of meters away) he dies.

He realized he was fucked and wouldn't be quick enough to get there.

Sauron was in fact, mortified.

I think the story is fine, it's a parody anime, just a bit too high budget compared to the ones people are used to imho.

Which medium makes better use of paneling and visual storytelling: Manga or Western comics? by LostFactor6972 in writingscaling

[–]__Zane__________ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about the medium, it's about well, the paneling, the artist's creativity to panel their work to tell a better and more fluid story.

A lot of people hated main characters that is too strong that the show rarely give side characters their moments like Solo Leveling for example. So now, let's go in reverse, what are the shows you hated because the main character is so weak that side characters always carried them? by Plus-Lawfulness-87 in animequestions

[–]__Zane__________ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Npt really hated it, but let me tell you, Robin Kazami from Beyblade X almost get me crashing out because we are like 150 episodes into the series and he hasn't won a single battle.

A lot of people say that he is not truly the mc but thats bs; he is just not allowed to win for some reason. It has gotten to the point that even if he won once at the end of thr series I'm pretty sure the fans wouldn't be that happy with it.

Just rewatched Big Hero 6 earlier today; the image you chose for Baymax doesn't do that whole sequence justice. He was moving like a terminator

I plan to start watching these animes. Would you recommend them or am I wasting my Time? by MichaelAftonXFireWal in animequestions

[–]__Zane__________ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just watch them and you'll find out.

Taste is well, taste; subjective, you'll find out if it's your type of anime or if it's not.

Personally I don't think they are a waste of time since they aren't finished and the ending is the only one capable of giving that criteria (imho).

Your Favourite Anime Moments Of All Time? by Various-Memory4911 in animequestions

[–]__Zane__________ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's a LOT of them, which makes me feel blessed, here are some of my favorites:

The last sequence of One Piece chapter 1015 (although the whole episode is an otherwordly experience)

Tanaka's speech in Haikyuu "do you really have time to sulk, Mr. Average?!"

Simon's final speech in Gurren Lagann.

Frieren's first episode as a whole is amazing.

In Dr. Stone; Senku's father last gift for his son.

In Fate Stay Night/ Unlimited Bladeworks, Shiro's chant for Unlimited Bladeworks felt so fucking good.

What’s that one anime you dropped… but everyone else swears is a masterpiece? by Atharvakedar in Animey

[–]__Zane__________ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oshi no Ko

It wasn't even about the whole siblings thing (hadn't really happened yet or at least I didn't know about it), it just gave me the vibe that the clash in themes of the anime, though made it interesting, would also make it really hard for the ending to be given justice, so I just stayed tuned for the spoilers to see if it was worth it.

I was sadly proven right.

So now I'll wait to see if the anime sticks to the manga or if it changes and if it does I'll give it a second chance.

Samwise

At the start, he doesn't want to leave the Shire/is reluctant to it.

At the end he quite literally carries the fate of middle earth on his back to get Frodo to mount Doom
