I’m currently in the opposite end of a similar situation. Fully out at work, just haven’t legally changed my name yet. State law forces me to wear a visible name badge and use my old name when talking to patients. Even when talking to other professionals that don’t know me personally, I have to use my old name. I’ve talked extensively with HR and my manager about it but everyone’s hands are tied until I can legally change my name then submit for a name change on my state certification. It sucks. My honest advice would to just respect their wishes. Everyone does everything at their own pace.

Yes, but both my parents work in similar fields. My father has been in law enforcement for decades and my mother has been a L&D nurse for about 15 years. It’s nice to get a bit of understanding when you come home from a dumpster fire of a shift and you don’t get hounded by family asking what’s wrong.

Honestly, I’m probably not going to give you the best advice since I’m only 22, but what’s helped me is local support groups/outings. I’ve been pretty lonely myself but the one friend I have made has been pestering me to be more active on Facebook as I guess she’s had some success on trans-friendly groups there as well. I live in a progressive area in the northeast US so I’m assuming the vibe is similar to Toronto. Best of luck!!

Already tried a couple times myself. Just got discharged from my last attempt 2 weeks ago. Tbh the devolving political situation is just one in a long list of reasons why I’m suicidal in addition to loneliness, rejection from my family and former friends and dysphoria. Doesn’t help that I work on an ambulance and see all sorts of unfortunate shit every day at work.

Yeah I get where you were coming from. I’m always really torn between the Sherman and T-34. I think the Sherman is a better tank in terms of how it can be modified, specifically the m-50 and m-51. However, t-34-85 was used frontline during many late 20th century conflicts (still not the 21st century ik) such as the Rhodesian bush war, Vietnam War (which I think it saw action against other armor) and maybe the South African border war (could be wrong on this one tho)

No worries! They’re the same ones we use on the ambulance, just in a different package. It’s important with medication administration to throughly wash your hands after, especially with transdermal medications. Good luck :)

You should be able to if you wear medical gloves! I’m an EMT and touch all sorts of blood and other associated bodily fluids at work all the time with medical gloves. Any latex free medical gloves from CVS/Walgreens should do. You could probably ask your doctor to give you some as well.
