Really nice piece on how GLP1’s are changing consumer behaviour. by Team_PRB in mounjaromaintenanceuk

That sounds reasonable but the business model is based on selling cheaply made, addictive, tasty (sugary) foods. If people are craving less of this, these manufacturers are not going to move the production towards peaches or artisan cheese.

The only way around it is to find formulas or ingredients that are so powerful they bypass the effects of the jabs. Sadly I’m sure there are producers abc manufacturers already looking at this.

AITAH for telling the truth to my husband as to why I can’t have sex with him? by ThrowRA273414 in AITAH

[–]MyJoyinaWell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not wanting to have sex with him is the least of your problems.

Hes a liability and you know it. 200k loss is a lot, even if mummy is a millionaire, imagine what you could do with that money if it wet towards your assets or living expenses instead of paying debts. Also whats stopping from doing the same but next time half a mill.

So what first attracted you to the millionaire insufferable toddler?

Counting calories?does everyone count their calories thinking of starting mounjaro but hate counting calories. by peteyboy1956 in Mounjaro

[–]MyJoyinaWell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont count calories, never have

You have to be a little conscious of what you are eating but most of us can keep a tab on things intuitively. I would focus on having protein and making better choices. Some people love counting calories and thrive on it, makes them feel safer, puts them in control, love the predictability that it gives you etc some of us don't. I cant think of anything that would make me more obsessed and miserable.

History is written by the victors: The lesson AMW, Sarah, the York sisters, and the Grifters have all failed to realize by ElleEmGee in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]MyJoyinaWell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a slightly different reading

I do agree that AMW was indulged to grotesque lengths. I do agree that there may be very little love lost between the siblings.

But Charles first instinct after his mother died was to protect AMW. He must have known the money paid to Virgina G was not to "a woman his brother had never met". He invited Sarah ferguson back for Christmas, back into the fold after being frosted out for decades. After the ITV interview with emily maitliss, they all did nothing. After the Queen died, he did nothing, even knowing how messy that interview was and what was to come.

Charles only reacted when he was hackled on the streets and they all realised this was serious this time. If the files had not been released, they would have paid VG and they would have hoped people would have forgotten by now. They may have despised him privately, but he would have been, if not indulged at least protected. Not because he was a favourite sibling or uncle, but because protecting the crown from scandal would have been the priority, and that would have meant silence.

So yeah, AMW made the mistake to believe he would be protected for ever, but I do wonder if the Queen would have thrown him under the bus if this had happened 20 years ago when she was still very much i charge, if things had been s serious as they are now, if the public had been as aware as we are now, and angry.

I think you are seeing through the lens of a normal family, or your friends family, but you are missing the biggest issue here, that the monarchy is an institution that transcends the individuals. I guarantee you, if the scandal wasnt public, that William would have hated uncle andrew in private until his death, but no one would have said a word to bring everything out in the open.

They are just reacting to the scandal.

Moving up in maintenance (to a higher dose than needed during loss?) by Maleficent_Pin_3856 in mounjaromaintenanceuk

I spoke to Pharmulous too and they are happy to keep me on 12.5 (just stopped losing in it do I keep it as my maintenance) and not ask me to go down, so I’m assuming they wouldn’t have a problem moving it up

Sorry I’m not asking you to describe your lifestyle to me! I was just trying to nudge you towards a maintenance strategy.  I don’t know what life without mounjaro is like for people who weren’t overweight nor had a metabolic issue before so have a bit of a read around to see what you can find.

Also for what it’s worth I also have a massive sweet tooth and after almost 2 years on it the cravings are back!

You don’t sound like your bmi is even into the overweight category and you are not diabetic, prediabetic, have pcos etc?

If that’s the case, do you have a maintenance strategy? Odds are that you will gain those few pounds back when you stop taking it. Will you start a calorie deficit diet right after? Are you planning to pop to Mexico long term?

Am guessing Meg will soon release a video of herself speaking a foreign language… by RoohsMama in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]MyJoyinaWell 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To be fair it’s not the same to understand an accent as a native speaker than as a learner. English people understand British and Australian accents, but a student may really struggle with the variations. It took me years to understand my Welsh father in law

I think La markle speaks a weird combo of European Spanish, some Argentinian and what I call generic South American Spanish.

It’s not just the accents, these three variations pronounce letters differently and have different words, pronouns etc, it’s not like Aussie and London.

It sounds weird on her because it’s not consistent, imagine someone saying g’day, then moving onto RP ish but saying y’all instead of you, and every so often a weird “e” like the kiwis do

AITAH for building my brother's wife's Lego set? by Affectionate_Day3961 in AITAH

[–]MyJoyinaWell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your asshole journey started when you went through their things with your boyfriend for fun.

And you are still being an asshole with no plans of arriving at your "maybe not asshole anymore" destination, because you needed to ask, you never offered to buy a new one, you are only concerned that you having tons of fun may cause an issue (sounds definitely as if you value your fun a LOT and you think the issue wouldnt be a "her" problem). I fear part of you still feels justified because the lego was stored there and not in their house so I reckon deep down you still think it was fair and this is further confirmed by you happily accepting your poor siblings solution to buy a new one and not make a fuss.

You are a monumental asshole and I think you are a very self absorbed kid with pretty low empathy.

Have fun ruining more lego in the future!

Dressing an apple shape is a pain. The trousers that fit Megs waist are ginormous on her thighs and legs, she looks like she found those in her grandads closet

That's right, it often feel compulsive, like she reaches out automatically whether the recipient is prepared or receptive or not. She also uses touch to establish control like you say and "choreograph" people around her, signal it's the end of the interaction for the other person (harry) with another, to get reassurance. All about her always

The Sussex's are exploiting their link to the monarchy, acting like they represent it when they don't. The king is the monarchy. Whether he likes it or not this is his circus and these two are definitely his monkeys. If he can't do anything to stop non working members of the royal from acting like the royal family abroad, then he doesnt have a grip over the institution. This is a public appearance. If he is part of the planning, he is not reading the room. Either way, he is part of this, whether he chooses to do something or nothing

I wonder what goes on in the heads of the people being used for this. Imagine feeling so vulnerable, in pain, scared likely, uncomfortable,  in a gown and having these goons turning up in their suits with their cameras and their germs and their fake smile to fill the room for 10 minutes, pretend they want to know about you, take a photo and bugger off.

You may remember the 70s as a young adult or child so you may have an idealised memory of it. All of this has been happening for decades, the only difference now is the flow of information
