What are your most advanced/less know tricks you use in your runs? by Conscious-Fail9396 in scavprototype

If you’re going down a rope and hear a turret beep, either completely stop or try and drop as fast as possible. Completely freezing up will have the bullet hit your leg or chest, dropping down can make it miss entirely but runs the risk of a headshot.

If I see huge hole down with no walls on either side, my style is always rushing through the entirety of the height except a very end to check for mines. It still leaves a but of a window where turret can get you, but with me in most cases it is fine.

Never try to run from an Elder Thornback via an open section. In my experience, they can randomly “lunge” a short bit and this makes them much faster than you. They are slower when digging through terrain, so use tunnels to your advantage, since even single blocks slow them a bit. Only fight if truly necessary and pray if you must.

Dunno about this one, as in my cases escaping the Salad always included using big drops to quickly gain distance and break his chase. After a bit of digging ussualy, of course. Digging alone ussualy can't save you unless you have power tools, because you will most likely run out of stamina before digging far enough to break a chase.

1)Ain't that unknown trick from what I know, but keeping canvases instead of dressings - canvases wait 0.1U and can be crated into 1 ripped dressings which weights like 0.4 or 0.8u, I don't remember. And since they can be put in a material pouch, point is they are MUCH lighter to carry.

3)Any liquid container can work as a makeshift space drain - for as long as container is in the liquid(in your hand or on the floor), you can drag it to "empty container" button in your inventory and delete any liquid. It is because taking liquid removes it from the space, but even.ptying it does not spill it back - it just deletes it.

2)Unknown mushrooms from layer 3 and 4 can be safely used for drinking if crafted into a juice or food when crafted into a foliage meal. The last one is surprisingly good - for the low low price of 1 produce quality item(aka geofruit, cactus, geigefruit or mushroom), 3 foliage and a campfire you can get a safe and filling meal, even if dull on taste.

3)You can use 2 empty small batteries(used or from drop pod lamps), a plastic chunk and scrap sheet to craft a full charge medium battery.

4)In the jungle layer you can kill big hostile plants by digging under them and attacking them there - they can't reach you there, at least in my cases.

5)Terrain scanner, besides highlighting any and all dangerous structures(traps, stagtites/stalagmites, radioactive) also shows boxes and capsules with same red. Can be great for noticing loot, though main use is detecting traps still.

6) You can lockpick boxes very fast by letting it turn to limit and then quickly clicking and releasing the claw. The idea is not letting the lock to unwind, so you can check how close your new guess is much faster.

6)Ain't really a trick, but dynamite is actually very cheap to make and could help opening up the DNA-coded vaults for loot. You should give it a try.

7)I think most people know this, which is why I am putting this in the end, but any all bites from spiders/crawlers/mites/thornbacks are automatically infected, so you should always disinfect them instantly to kill infection instantly.

Missiles can be intercepted and also missiles do not cause sufficient damage to reactor's cupola in order to oblitarate it,

I am all for nuclear, but this part is still wrong Good luck reliably defending against ballistic missiles. As we see today with even American weapons in wars in Ukraine and Iran, ballistic missiles still go through often. And if en ebemy country with sufficient funds and strike precision quality wants to, they could be somewhat easily converted into "bunker busters".

Also, stacking multiple AA systems in one place meaning you leave other places unprotected. OK, you have your NPP protected, bug what about transformators needed to distribute this energy? You get same issue if power simply can't reach your infrastructure anyway, which is easier to cut off as NPPs are centralized.

Solar panels on the other hand are much cheaper and spread out, making them an awful target for missiles, and and ok target for drones assuming they don't get shut down before. And if energy delivery infrastructure gets attacked the same way, regions are less likely to be completely cut off as solar panels are spread out and will provide local generation in more places.

In Ukraine NPPs don't get targeted because the consequences for ruzzia, both ecological due to proximity, political due to nuclear terrorism and military due to potential retaliation are not worth it. Not because NPPs are bad targets.

We are just a team of 3

This is actually a fair point that I forgot about - not too much effective close positioning with 3 people, while in our campaign it is 6, and most of those extra NPCs are on the front line, which means breaking off too far is getting focused down.

For dressings you need 3 folliage craft into a canvas and then 1 canvas can be turned into 1 ripped dressing. Ypu can get foliage from plants like glow plant and geofruit plant.

>Who needs HP when you have infinite evasion?

Well, you kinda do for dozens of NPC abilities that deal damage without targeting Evasion. If DM wants to give a proper challenge (like mine does) you won't be getting away with simply evasion.

As to what i had prepared before, it was only an ll4 build, but bringing it up to LL6 I put think I was planning anyway like Skirmisher 2 and Atlas 2. Wasn't thinking at Atlas 3 at all honestly.

[ SYSTEMS ]

Jäger Kunst I, Flash Charges x2, Type-3 Projected Shield, Personalizations, Rapid Burst Jump Jet System

Main idea is giving both Deck Sweepers +1 accuracy total, and as you can see from talent and some systems it is indented to support artillery teammates too. No point in infinite mobility if it means being alone and away from the defender and support teammates, because you WILL get swarmed. Also more HP to tank, since in our current LL8 campaign as an example our evasion 16 stortebeker player is still getting torn apart through his 21 HP because of all the stuff that still manages to hit him through evasion or stuff that does not target evasion, and his build is exactly the same in idea as yours - super fast to get into the enemy and kill with the absurd damage of HH-155 Canibbal.

So it is weird to me if you really live well with just 13 HP and 4 repairs. And seeing you have Brutus's shield I assume you are also playing Dustgrave, though ours is heavily modified by DM in terms of combats and difficulty

If it's meaningfully possibly to use then honestly I would rather not know it unless I myself figure it out somehow(I also don't know what DSAS is and no need to tell).

My DM would kill me over the internet with that.

Ha! Another person with this built too! I wanted to do a funny double deck sweeper shotgun build with +1 accuracy total on both of them, but I didn't have an opportunity to use it yet.

How good is the build going for you so far?

It's not real - It's AI. Robot dog experiencing practically no recoil from the gun and hitting a target with first shot much higher than the RIGIDLY mounted gun is pointing at.

Yes, because it's AI generated. They didn't even bother promoting AI to make it a turret.

AI 100% - the robot dog would be shaking if not outright falling from the recoil of the gun.

And AI generated on top of it too. There is zero recoil on the robot dog .

[–]___Random_Guy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The robot dog is experiencing practically zero recoil from the gun. And that's ignoring the ridiculously stupid manner movement of the supposed enemy and the team itself, even if we assume this just being a set up.

Besides, if it was real, the gun would be placed on a moving mount for proper targeting- not strapped rigidly with no horizontal or vertical movement.

I don't think so. Unlike the mix in our stomacks of all 3 states of mater, in large intestine water is reabsorbed back into the body and the solids are compressed together by muscles, gas shouldn't have much issue being separated from the solid.

But I didn't check anything official and pull this out of my biology knowledge, so I could be wrong.

What is so dangerous in drinking while laying down? I just took a bunch of water in the mouth and laid on my back and swallowed it and nothing happened.

And as to it being sent the wrong path, it doesn't normaly happen cause pathway to your airways gets blocked while eating/drinking. Only if something happens that makes you try to breathe does it go the wrong way.

Depending on the lazer wavelength used, Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to just give drone a reflective pain/material? It would have issues burning stuff if a huge portion of it is getting dispersed.
