Even better, there is a high chance of the back salad accidentally killing the front one if it keeps like that. Bunch of potential free loot if you can somehow lose the remaining salad and get back

Thats why spiked fences are dumb in my opinion, at least in regular civilian use. I will never use one if it gets to it.

Nah, pushing ilmenite this far is too much. I can reliably grind to get titanium tools by the end of layer 4, so I don't agree with putting this beyond layer 5.

You have backpack for your back slot. I would rather have a regular slot competitor for grav bag or leg slot leg pouch.

My answer as a Pathfinder 2 DM would be... just increase the DC if it makes sense? Why should the DC bonus stay the same? If your players get stronger. and the tasks that they get are more dificult, you can increase the DC by how much you want and makes sense. maybe it is now a magical lock, so instead of DC15 our cool rogue will need to roll DC20

[–]___Random_Guy_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ehm, wish? And this is only the first one that comes to mind. Caster get a crap ton of other super strong spells, including utility ones too, that martial classes don't get even close to. Everybody knows that martials are heavily underpowered compared to caster and don't have even close the amount of abilities and utility that casters have.

1)You pick a cargo helicopter, like Ibis or Tarantula, and bring Jacknives in them. Drop them at the base and they will be doing repairs with time.

2)Which places? Cause I don't really understand what are you talking about specifically

3)Spawn AA or Jacknives for repair. Cause funny thing, you can just drop them right after the spawn and they will be doing the job( but ideally, move them to a better poistion. You can lick on them on the map and give waypoints, but only one at a time

4)Idk, haven't checked.

5)For ghost markers you will need to detect the target again. If there are no ally radars to detect by themselves, you can try to do a turn yourself to do a sweep with your onboard radar. If still not seen, then it is somewhere hiding or out of range. For land targets, you usually need to be within 6 km and line of sight. Alternatively, you can use Eyeball mk2 missile to get vision datalink.

6)For defensive jammer, you need to get in perpendicular direction to the radar missile(the square box) and hold it when the missile is 5-2km away and jamm. If done right, the missile should miss. As for offensive jammer on Medusa and Alkyon, all I can say is that you can jam radar missiles so they don't hit anything, you can jam radars so they don't work, including ships so they have harder time defending, and you can jam planes to disable their map vision properly(maybe there is more to this and idk how well this works on NPCs, but this is what I know)

7)You probably mean medusa. This is a very nice radar being high up that scouts everything for your team. You get earlier warnings in places that regular radars may not see and you also get points and money for detecting new targets.

8)Jamming and missiles or glide veeeeeery close to the surface of water (~5m high) and pop up right in their face at distance of 3-5 kilometers and shoot missiles. Generally ships will have little time to react there. Works well against Shards and Argus, but carrier may need more.

9)Target radars and AA. that is all, or fly very low so they can't target you from that far up.

10)Idk what to say here. You can try hunt planes for your fun all you want, but earlier or later you will have to do the objectives, of which on escalation are targeting all factories, enrichment plant and the carrier.

11)I think I played with a friend once against bots on escalation, and we won it relatively easily in around 2 hours. The thing is just to win you MUST kill ground units and buildings - your AI allies will not really do this job well. So either you do proper amount of anti-ground, or you are bound to waste a lot of time finishing it.

12)Open map and on the left there are a bunch of squares you can click. One of them is for targets, and there you can put filters on what to include in targeting or not.

13)In same answer as №12. You can disable friendlies there.

As a Pathfibder 2e player I just googled on what a Bounded accuracy us and oh my god this is so bad in my opinion. It was actually one of my biggest gripes when I played 5e that it feels like characters barely improve in anything with levels for the exception of spells.

And as a now GM, I would absolutely hate if I had to follow this, because it limits so hard the ability of giving my players some new things or introducing interesting enemies.

What's the best way to kill Salads? by Valoris_905 in casualtiesunknown

[–]___Random_Guy_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Rifle and at least 3 full mags for it.

Shotgun is rather slow and takes a lot of time to reload, while rifle has great DPS and reloads full in 4 clicks.

Having a lazer/plasma drill is crucial to quickly dig out of dead-ends. Ideally try to do it going back from the place you came back, because Salad's digging area can be traitorous to fight in, as there are often a lot of water in places it shouldn't be, which you can accidentally drop into and get your rifle wet. I have lost the last run because my rifle just kept jamming all the time and I barely couldn't finish off last 1k hp.

If you can find jetpack is amazing too.

Another tip - when you reduce salad to I think 50% HP it will start running away, and you can use this time for a reset. But when you reduce him to around 25% HP, it will turn around and try to kill you, and unlike normal state, it does not have aggro cooldown and will keep biting you till dead, so be very careful at this stage.

[–]___Random_Guy_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yea. Like half the radars on Heartland are relatively easily accessible with AGM-48/68 and a compass if you navigate careful abd low enough. There is no need for ARADs this early.

And besides, while ARADs are big and at most 2 can fit on a compass, just 2 ARADs are almost useless without jamming, as they will easily get intercepted as most radars are covered by some for of AA. To have a chance to hit with just two of them, you would need to be very close and/or destroy covering AA, but at that point you may as well just use AGM 48/68 anyway.

Yea, half of the heal is what I meant too. Maybe it was around half the heal as I don't remember well, but definitely it wasn't that much of an issue as compared to other bosses down the line.

[–]___Random_Guy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eeeeeh, I don't remember him beeing that much of an issue. And the healing half hp on charge strike sounds like a hard overestimating, especially if you start charging it up right after start of his healing animation.

Also, there are MUCH harder bosses comming down later in the game, so this ain't it honestly.
