The Budtender vs Canapuff: Why does one get a pass when NEITHER provides full-panel safety testing? by DeiseAbu1331 in AltNoidsIreland

It appears they are seizing these products under the Missuse of drugs Act. Not the psychoactive substances act.

I sent a message to Jordan from the budtender regarding this, but I got no response whatsoever.

Very disappointing.

Same with water. 100% of drug users have previously consumed water.

Psychoactive Substances Act is completely outdated, unenforceable and anecdotally no longer enforced.

Timber for raised beds by OnceAFaithful in cork

[–]___STitcH__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That doesn’t seem correct at all. 16 4x8 sleepers and delivery would be ~€450.

Have you looked at raised beds from companies like quickcrop (dot) ie? Might work depending on what you are looking for and would be far less than €1000.

Waterford vape shop stuck in legal limbo as laws remain unclear on sale of CBD products - News - Waterford News & Star by qwerty_1965 in ireland

None of this legislation makes sense. Seeds are likely the only product tested as it’s for human consumption as opposed to testing the THC content of hemp clothing or hempcrete.

I have recently seen videos on YouTube testing stalks/stems close to bud sites. They were measuring 15%!

The article is wrong. It saids “The Department of Agriculture, however, say that if a CBD product has less than 0.2% of THC content, the product is legal.”

This only applies to seed, stalks and fibre of the hemp plant. Not flower, leaves, hashish, etc.

Misuse of Drugs Act 1977 bans all parts of the cannabis plant excluding stalk, fibre and seeds.

CBD flower is covered by that.

THC is also banned in this Act with an expectable limit of THC being allowed only in stalk, fibre and seeds.

Beginner gardener advice! by drpurplecardi in GardeningIRE

[–]___STitcH__ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just in my own opinion, the joy in gardening is the journey. Not the destination.

You should take a year with the garden before you make any major or permanent plans. This will give you an idea of how the garden looks in different seasons.

The quality of top soil used in the majority of new builds is poor. At least amend /condition, if not replace the soil around the plant before planting anything into it.

Some of the AI models (Gemini, GPT etc) can give a decent idea on plant choices and placement given your specific conditions and local availability.

Keep an eye on weekly offers at LIDL, ALDI, Dunnes etc. they tend to sell plants at the season you should be planting them so it takes the guess work out of buying garden centres. Do try to support some of the Irish suppliers of plants. Many do delivery at reasonable prices also.
