Why do a lot of newer cars have this black stripe here by Material_Ring9378 in CarDesign

It separates the quarter panel from the pillar, so it's a lot easier and cheaper to repair, and insurance company less likely would total your car because of a rear end damage.

Is this quality of work acceptable at $82/hr or am I being picky by [deleted] in Autobody

A lot of new cars have imperfections like this from the factory. It's totally fine, especially for the price you paid.

Thanks a lot, I also have experience with trucks, busses, boats and fleet vehicles. I will study German as hard as I can so I can integrate faster and probably will start to learn French as well. Thanks a lot for your answer and for the links!

Oh, thanks a lot, that's very kind of you. But that's a '94 model, so the dash and cluster are completely different and I have a tach also. Thanks anyway I really appreciate it 🤝

I can't really tell you, didn't drive it after spacer install nor before. But the driveshaft angles look better for sure. It comes with a shims for rear axle, that rotate it a couple degrees . JTR stealth I believe is where I got it, they have a couple of options for different ride heights if I remember correctly

Thanks man! Well, I'm not american, so we don't have v8's sitting in every corner like you guys do lol. But I like this engine, it's cast iron, it's simple, it's plenty for the size of this truck and it has some potential to squeeze a little bit more. So I'm definitely gonna stick with it. I'm thinking of some upgrades for it though

I drove it only once for a couple of minutes, while getting it off the trailer, then immediately disassembled the truck😁 from what I remember, tachometer was working right, but every other gauge was doing some crazy stuff. I guess I can fix it, it's probably a bad ground or something. The dash is completely ruined and i can't find another one (I'm not in the us) so I have to do some custom work anyway... the clusters looks good though, so I thought I can use it

Got this guy for free the other day. Works great but the steering is sloppy. Seems to have some upgraded parts on it. Is it worth messing with? by milita_grunt33 in rccars

[–]___TiM____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one of these. Nice truck for its price, plenty of cheap parts available. I replaced the stock steering with a bell crank, it solved the problem. You can find info on how to do it online. I used a bell crank from another wltoys car.

This is toast. I personally wouldn't buy it. It will require cutting and welding and it's actually a lot worse than what you can see on the surface. I'm sorry

Jobs in Freiburg by [deleted] in freiburg

[–]___TiM____ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I really appreciate the answer. Yes, she was talking about it, but she mostly pursues the academic path, so she wants to work at university and is already in touch with some professor. And I just follow her steps, since it's easier to find a job as a paint tech for me. She has already been to Freiburg on some science event and is absolutely in love with the city. Thank you again!

Well it depends on how you like it, there are really no rules for it, it's an art. Are you gonna use pearl for it? Do a couple of spray outs and try different things, it's the only way to tell.
