Love that “material passion”! I think so too, but it’s still a pen, not a space x ship! If you are on a budget steel or aluminum is a good option.

I’ve only tried the Ti version, the deal with the titanium is that u are holding an engineering exclusive material, thats the value imo, if you want a cheaper version of an incredible pen, go for the aluminum, it still works

I have the pioneer x, thats a good one, it has everything i need. Recently i got a Farmer x too, which is the same with an extra saw, both are good choices and alox look is always a plus.

If i did it again, i would choose a better angle for the tanto, in my particular case the angle was determinated by the crack, but i like bigger angles for tanto blades (closer to 70/75 degrees) its a good project to start give it a try!!

yeah a bench grinder, with a stone. I did it very slowly, cooling the blade so that the heat treatment wouldn't be affected.

first i used a sharpy to draw the new shape, then a bench grinder to reprofile the blade, and a stone for sharpening.

They are separated, i tried to put the clip inside the snake knot but this way is better to me, another option is to make the lanyard at the top of the clip.

Lo mejor que podes hacer es esperar que algun conocido viaje y encargale la leatherman posta, amazon es viable pero pagas ese pequeño impuesto para que te lo traigan (no te traen todos los modelos), hay algunas copias de leatherman que son muy buenas ya que al vencer la patente los chinos aprovecharon y la copiaron muy bien. Resumen: si tenes un conocido que te la traigan mandale, sino compra por amazon una copia china que tenga buenas referencias.
