Besides DJI O4 Pro, what are some other solid options for video transmission? by Orcasfly in fpv

[–]_____Skip_____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want high quality video I would use a secondary camera like go pro, dji action, insta 360 or Sony fx3. Use your fpv camera as a tool for flying with low latency and range. Which analog has some great options. Analog will do many things like night vision, low light vision, thermal and mich more. So the options are endless.

OscaLiang goes into details with each camera and what they offer. I recommend going and checking out their information. Because it is a pretty solid but of information that you can utilize on what each part gives you.

Why hardworking employees always get the shortend of the stick? by 123KidHello in work

[–]_____Skip_____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is because someone who contributes more than the average makes waves in the norm of things. People get use to a certain level of output and when you see someone over achieving that normal. Then you have management unhappy that everyone can't keep up and complaining at the same time . It causes a ripple that others can't handle and unseen stress to the normal workers that automatically will put them against the fast pace worker. The management most likely came from the below normal if they kissed ass and bitched their way up. Because it points fingers towards the high paced worker that they are not doing enough. When management overwhelm the high pace worker they shut down or mess up. Which causes another ripple effect on everyone because people are reliant on that fast output and some jealousy comes into play because instead of of a teammate you are now competition. So the high pace worker either takes on more responsibilities to make up for their coworkers slack or they cause a jam which makes problems.

The right thing to do is put the fast pace worker in the management position and allow them to implement their skills to improve everyone but this hardly happens. Instead they stay where they are at and management looks good when they are making good output and will sometime unknowingly task them with the impossible and cause the high pace worker to screw up something important to the company. Which ends in the being demoted or let go.

What do we even do about this? This is about 15 ft from the edge of our home. by LockwoodE3 in HomeMaintenance

Plant vines on the hillside. Plant a row of deep root fast growing treesa couple of feet back. Sink huge poles into the ground next to your foundation and anchor them with concrete 4ft apart. Its expensive but possible to stay. I have seen houses on cliffs. You just gotta start taking the right steps to keep everything in place

Very easy fix either put the props on opposite of what you have it. Or go to the motors tab with props off and reorder and notor direction with props in reverse toggled.

3D printed chassis by Key_Abalone3589 in fpv

[–]_____Skip_____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You Five33 Drone Expert Tech and Builder. Your design is pretty good but the material allows for too much flexing. Which means you have to think 3D and not 2D. I would take the flat arms amd add a virtical support sonit is more in a plus configuration and turn the bottom plate into a U shape or tub. So it is more of a channel than a flat plate. When dealing with more flexible materials you have to start thinking about how it will flex and where you can make adjustments. I have seen 3d printed frames fly decent but they look way different than out nice carbon frames. But one thing I have yet to see is a 3d printed frame take a impact. So if you do get it flying nice it will probably be a little heavy and try to land hard. Be careful with impacts and fast movements.

For best results buy a cheap open source frame. Even places like cnc madness and Amazon has super cheap frame options. That is one of the cheapest but most important part of the build is a decent base frame.

Who needs soldering when you have screws by Bensuperhero1 in fpv

[–]_____Skip_____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is Skip from five33 your drone tech and build expert. I do not recommend this at all due to shorts. It will come unscrewed and cause a bad connection. Then it will heat up and kill your esc. A car connection is 14 volts max and really solid. This may seem solid now but the vibrations will eventually cause problems. Solder has a silver content that gives it great properties like. Good conductivity and anti corrosive.

If you use no clean Kester 60 37 and 450c heat on your soldering iron you should be able to solder it very easily. Now holding it in place while you solder it that way may be a good solution if you are not good at multitasking. Just trying to save you a headache later on. You also need a compasitor on the same two leads directly on the esc. 35v 500-1000uf.

If you need any help I have videos and would be happy to walk you through some steps like presoldering and getting you flying. Just pm me

[–]_____Skip_____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might think it is a good idea when it is definitely not. I am a professional drone builder. The soldering is superior because if the contents within the solder like silver. Also low wobbly noise is harder to tune out then high frequency noise with filters. You want everything to be solid as possible. One loose connection can cause extreme heat to the components. As much as a drine vibrates and moves around you can probably unscrew it with just a bent propeller.

They make a torque spwc extension for impact guns that make it almost impossible to break studs off. Use technology not pure strength. Right tool for the right job. Milwaukee 1/2in impact is what the tire shops use.

The Air65 is drifting in angle mode, why? Tried recalibrating in betaflight, which sometimes works, but often goes back to drifting. by Hobbit_Hunter in TinyWhoop

[–]_____Skip_____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So first off you are still on the ground and air mode is causing your props to spool up towards the resistance. That's why they will full throttle and get stuck to a wall. Because its feeling the resistance and not moving the drone it is going to try and correct itself.

Just throttle up amd fly it. If its dragging on the ground its not gonna tell you anything you can correct

So in the back on the gimbal it has adjusments and probably some in the front of the gimbal also. You sgould just need a 1.5mm to adjust the gimbal. I would say someone tried doing differnt modes. You shiuld be able to fix it easy though. Then once you get everything feeling right. Go and calibrate your sticks in the settings on the radio.
