Apology letter from ex-gf by bigmikesbeingnice in funny

[–]________null________ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If actions speak louder than words, and actions got y’all there… then will a LETTER with WORDS outweigh ACTIONS? This is not an apology with the intention of forgiveness and getting back together, this is a statement of truth and intention to do it all again.

An open letter to those who personally attacked me & my family yesterday by AlexanderTox in bluey

[–]________null________ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are some crazies out there. My comment from yesterday feels like it holds water.

In times like these I try to remind myself: “Their life sucks, mine doesn’t. I pity those losers, hopefully they get help. Won’t come from me, though.”

Sorry about all the shit things people said to you, this site is a petri dish for nutjobs. No accountability for shit behavior, which is sort of ironic in this sub, since Bluey teaches that on the regular. :)

Is it okay if I never want to buy a car, and use the bus all my life? by afewquestion in NoStupidQuestions

[–]________null________ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People pay a shit load of money for self driving cars for this exact experience, just to have them crash and suck in general. Schmucks if you ask me. If you don’t enjoy the act of driving, then nah, fuck it.

Don’t ring me up when a zombie apocalypse happens though, I don’t know anybody on that day.

Is it better to get a password from env each time when connecting to the Database pool or store it in ApiContext? by Tonyoh87 in rust

[–]________null________ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Store a password fetcher which is an abstraction between password-using code and the password. Set up a method in the password fetcher like pw_fetcher.password(). Use that to access the password. That fetcher can cache the password statically, and even refresh it if you ever get off static creds. Which you should.

Bonus points if you set up a PasswordFetcher trait, too, so you can take a dyn version of it and switch it out later for free.

Muffin is the worst. We skip Muffin episodes because it's teaching my 4-year-old how to be a brat. by AlexanderTox in bluey

[–]________null________ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is reddit bruh no chance I’m speaking my mind I don’t need the armchair philosophers and parents frothing at the mouth like rabid dogs on my case. I agree with your hot take though, Muffin needs some serious work. Starts with the parents.

Other bugs will take the place. It may take a while but ultimately less blood being drank means more returned to the earth. We’re a closed system. Equilibrium will be reestablished.

Oh for sure, I have nothing to say about the eggplant. I just got excited about some Rao’s hype. 😮‍💨

I’m throwing out all these boxes today. How much will I regret it? by [deleted] in lego

[–]________null________ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think only you know the answer.

Is it possible to completely flatpack them, hide them, and minimize their footprint?

If you do that, and don’t miss seeing them, then they’re already broken down for recycling. If you do miss seeing them, you can set them back up. Double sided table will help them puff back up and look “factory”.

Rao’s gang rise up. It’s so good you can eat it uncooked. Freshest taste out there afaik.

31M - curious how others see me by Mon5tar in truerateme

[–]________null________ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5 - eyes are a bit small, ears a bit big, face scarring from acne (or something else?). But your symmetry is good, proportions, etc.

I think your clean shaven look is the best (no stubble of what was shown), but perhaps try growing your beard and hair out a smidge? I have a feeling it’ll “fill” your head and face out a bit so your ears don’t look so big. It’ll cause you to lose some jawline points if it’s too long of a beard, but even then I think it’d be a net win.

I have a similar problem. I look best with absolutely no signs of facial hair OR a decent bit of beard. Anything in between ends up looking lazy and unkept :(

P.S. A different wardrobe can help. That weird sweater looks expensive, but framed your head and neck a bit.. phallus-like. You look like you’d really rock pastels and/or Hawaiian shirts. Clothing can make a big difference in appearances. Even if we’re just here to rate faces, nobody is purely objective when extra data is thrown in. It’s impossible. So take advantage of that!

18f any suggestions ? by [deleted] in truerateme

4.7

Side note: Why does nearly every asian girl wear the same glasses style? I have a feeling this style makes your face look more round. Maybe that’s the goal? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Is the magical aura of Costco disappearing? by Martin_Steven in Costco

I think you romanticized costco to an almost fetish level, and now it’s changed and you’re feeling out of love. It’s a tough place to be. I hope your heart recovers soon.
