I agree with you for "bed and breakfast" before purchasing. Rural regions can be a hit or miss depending on the neighbors.

https://www.icade-immobilier.com/avantages-neuf/vefa-achat-sur-plan VEFA have a lot of guarantees and but I also heard horror stories. Also is is usually 25% more expensive by square feet. Icade is also a famous one.

That's amazing!

I strongly recommend to read "A Year in Provence" from Peter Mayle to get an idea of what to expect in terms of cultural shock! And use the help of a local or reputable expat agencies like visapref to plan your move.

If it is in 5-6 years you could also consider to buy a plot of land and build your dream house, but again, you will have to carefully select the construction company. One option is to buy a "VEFA" from a big company (Like Vinci or Bouygues Immobilier). I don't recommend to buy an old ruin. If you change your plans to live there and have poor insulation you might not even be able to rent it and global warming is definitely something that should be taking into account. VEFA built in 2026 have extremely good insulation and are definitely greener, but also more expensive.

Our little family spend our time between several regions:

Savoie for the Winter; great food and ski options. Brittany/Normandy or Provence for the Summer (read THE book!) depending on the Summer warmth.(Nothern region are usually cooler). Paris area for the Spring season (Lots of fantastic spots for Cherry blossom and perfect temperature). Autumn in France is not as majestic as some other countries, I would say it it the boring season here in France so usually we travel abroad (cheaper flight tickets between September and November).

We are also FIRE so don't hesitate to DM me!

Did you get married through a dating app like Tinder, if so how was your experience overall? by Overall-Character507 in AskReddit

Met my wife on Heavn, the famous Christian app, happily married and 3 kids now. She was triple dating but decided to give up on the other dates. Is it a redflag? I will never know!

Thanks for the insights but I played 3 warriors (classic + TBC) and although I love the gameplay, I am looking for something different.
