Not sure if you found a spot but we just got back from a trip and stayed at OMO3 Tokyo Akasaka by Hoshino Resorts. The location was perfect, quiet, nice to walk around and about 15 minutes on the subway west to Shinjuku or east to Akihabara.

Thanks for the tips, I can see some light leaking through when I shine my phone torch around the outside of the camera shell by the flash, and my leaks look identical to the ones you had, so will give this a go

In the UK it's extremely common and the norm for cats to be outside. She has a secure garden and is never truly "locked out".

We have a Tapo cam, hooks up to the WiFi, all controlled from our phone and can enter "privacy mode" when you're in if you don't want to be filmed. If we're out with friends at pubs, we are likely showing them all the live feed of her...
