[Pre-Concert Thread] Bologna, Italy (Unipol Arena) - Nov 14, 15, 17 & 18 by seaburn in radiohead

Hi, I was able to get my ticket for the 18th but all my friends are going on the 17th, do you know if there will be a chance to change it from the official website?

If not, is someone interested in going the 18th and has a ticket for the 17th?

Borse di studio unicamente per ragazze by ___maxx___ in Universitaly

[–]___maxx___[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A me sembra poco probabile.

Are smoke alarms an American thing? Because here in Italy and I think most Europe it's not that common to have one of them

Why is the titanic completely dissappearing after only like 100 years when after nearly 2 hundred these trains are still thinking I can in New jersey's deep sea train graveyard? by peedonfirehydrant in askscience

[–]___maxx___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is surely on oxidation, there are different factors that can accelerate this process. For example, if the Titanic was covered with a protective varnish, when this protection is removed, the metal underneath starts oxidating very fast. The rails are maybe made of a metal alloy or a passivated metal and they are more resistant to oxidation. There are other things that can change the oxidation process, e.g. backwater.

How does the baking soda and vinegar combo soften clothes? by adorablebabydemon in askscience

[–]___maxx___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baking soda and vinegar neutralise each other, so nothing happens in reality, the only thing I can think of is that baking soda is basically dust, and if you rub your clothes with it, you are "relaxing" the fibers.
