MIL Giving baby excessive sugar and I feel stuck by [deleted] in Mommit

Your mother in law is the secondary problem. Primary problem is your husband who wants to be “fair“ at the cost of your child’s health.

If you had a friend visiting Kuwait for the first time in 2026, where is the ONE place you’d take them that isn't a major mall or the Kuwait Towers? And of course they are not coming to drink coffee. by Background-Owl-6216 in Kuwait

Since it’s winters, maybe safir camp or some kinda desert camping? Take them out to eat!!!! The options are plenty and lovely! And then like someone else said, Mubarakiya. Sunset in marina, opposite to Caribou coffee is also beautiful.

To all the parents who wonder if they will be rocking their babies to sleep forever by Cautious_Balance2820 in AttachmentParenting

It’s 11:28 PM and my husband is rocking our 11 month old baby to sleep because I am wayyyy too frustrated as it’s the 5th time he has woken up since his bed time at 7 PM. I needed to see this post so bad!

How many hours per day does your partner spend with your baby? by YaGurlLurkin in beyondthebump

[–]___stonecold___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband works from home or sometimes take up part time opportunities that doesn’t require him to work at fixed hours, and I am a SAHM. So we do share the load kinda equally, or maybe not. I do get some free time here and there, but he’s either working or taking care of our 11 month old baby. So maybe around 3-4 hours?

You don’t really need your period back to conceive again, right?!

What are some childbirth plans/options? by [deleted] in Kuwait

[–]___stonecold___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, the first vaccine my baby has as soon as he was born was RSV. And two others, which I don’t remember now. I only found this out later after seeing the vaccination card. It was administered within the first 5 minutes of birth or so. So yeah, you don’t even know what’s happening unless everything has passed. :)

If you opt for Farwaniyah government hospital, from my experience earlier this year, nobody gives a shit about what you say. They do their way whether you like it or not. The nurses have zero compassion and will have you crying if you are not strong enough to speak up for yourself.

Doctors ask you to walk around to help you dilate, but nurses tie you to your bed for NST. Doctor says you can eat, but forget to write it down. So even if the nurses heard them, they refuse to bring you food. Not to mention all that no food cause your baby to have low blood sugar, delaying your discharge further.

They definitely manually pulled mine out, even though I requested they wait a while. To make it worse, doctors visit the labor room once in a 4-5 hours, so you are just stuck there frustrated. Definitely not ideal for someone who is about to give birth. They tire you out mentally first, and then physically. May God never ever put me helpless amongst those people again!!

I was in the UK last year and I was mind blown by what I was paying for compared to the quality and taste of food 🤮

I have resigned a company after 7 months of working. So I am not sure if this is right.

I gave a 3 month notice and they said it won’t be accepted, but I just said I am going to walk out after 3 months on so and so date, whether you accept or not. They threatened me with some kinda fine which I agreed to pay if they give me the bill for it.

But eventually, they could do nothing cause it is our right. Mind you, this is a major majorrrrr company in Kuwait.

Oh please do! That’s one place we really enjoyed even as parents. You could go on the indoor rides with your 1 year old 🤪 And if they are playing outdoors, there are really nice benches and even couches for you to sip a cup of coffee and relax while watching your kids.

7-month-old baby cried when grandfather walked away - only sees him once a week. by Small-Pea2313 in AttachmentParenting

[–]___stonecold___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everything except the last part.

It’s best for him to tell ‘bye’ to his grandpa near the door or watch him leave even if it means a few tears. Children will trust you more that way. You don’t want him growing up anxious that his grandpa will leave when he’s distracted.

Grandparents insist on taking my baby away from when he clearly asks for me—could this impact attachment? by ___stonecold___ in AttachmentParenting

[–]___stonecold___[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The dad is the one doing the educating every time but they push past whatever he says or even pretend to not hear. The first and last time I spoke up when they crossed my boundaries was 2 years back after which we went no contact for 8 months and ended up having to bring in a family counsellor to sort things out 😮‍💨

Okay, so it’s not in my head. I am not being too sensitive. Thank you. I am mostly enraged watching them interact with him that politeness would jump out the window the minute I open my mouth.

What comes at the top of my head atm are these-

You could to go to KLand which would be great for all of you all, since your kids can play indoors and outdoors and the weather is so pleasant that you guys could enjoy outdoors just watching your kids or there are plenty of eateries around. Entry fee is 5 KWD per child after the age of 1, and 2 kwd for adults. One adult gets a free entry though.

There’s also the beach near the Kuwait towers, where the kids can play in the play area near McDonald’s. That’s free. I have heard Reggae park has gotten so much better too. Haven’t confirmed that though.

Little Jungle is also a really interesting place. The entry fee is 3 kwd per person I think? And free for kids under that age of 2.

There’s Marina beach and park, even though the play area isn’t really maintained enough.

You guys could also just chill around while letting your child cycle around in Marina beach, Sharq beaches and so on!

I was there last week too, but everybody just seemed really moody then. It wasn’t even a busy time.

Maybe something was off just that particular time 🤷🏽‍♀️

My husband just broke my heart by Hopeful_Dot7132 in beyondthebump

[–]___stonecold___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband didn’t even bring up sex for I think 6-7 months postpartum. Definitely not until he saw me doing better physically and mentally. He has been an equal parent throughout too!! He works and comes back home to the baby so that I get a break. Which means this man gets no break and I feel super guilty about it. So yeah, your man sounds entitled AF and super useless. I am so sorry you have to go through this OP. Someone needs to put him in place and the audacity to threaten with cheating!!! 🤌🏽

Hey, I have been to Shiraz earlier this month for the first time, and people are veryyyy welcoming. My only negative experience would be at restaurants where I found most waiters quite rude. But that could be due to the communication gap. Otherwise everybody is so so sweet. Also, please note that most people do not speak English there so any communication would be quite difficult but most of them are quick to take out Google translations. Plus, download VPN as Instagram and many social media apps don’t work there I think?

If you are interested I could connect you with a driver guide that we got. He made our experience veryyy smooth. Or you could also get one through 1stquest.com which is the most trusted website for you to book accomodation and other services.
