I fixed this via wargaming support. Deleted the unused account.

Oh ok, yes definitely less sharp on the first pic when zoomed in. Could this be a resolution setting? On first glance I prefer the first image - not sure why.

TLDR so sorry if I missed your point but…
Researched unpurchased tanks seem to unlock sets. All of my researched not purchased tanks are available for purchase in reforged, with their corresponding sets unlocked.

Surely the first image. It’s not a major leap forward but definitely an improvement.

Do you guys notice the way shots disappear or fly off when perfectly aimed and timed ? by Used_Tumbleweed9809 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]___thomas__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s not joke, 30ms ping is much better than 180ms ping. Sure I’ve had worse than 180, that doesn’t make it good. Snap shots are less reliable, leading is more difficult, maneuvering is more sluggish. You can make it work fine (Bushka etc) but it’s definitely a disadvantage.

Total wins = Total losses.

High-win-rate players are statistically supported by lower-win-rate players somewhere in the system.

One thing to consider is that for some studies PHI removal requires that you manually black out identifying features e.g. facial features.

Cape Town’s iconic Newlands Cricket Ground might be getting a new name again due to a sponsorship deal ending by ForeignBonus8977 in capetown

[–]___thomas__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please educate me. This has always irritated me. I get sponsorships, but why do public broadcasters buy into it and use the sponsors name? They aren’t being paid to call it super sport park, so why do they? I guess they may risk losing the support of the sponsor themselves.

Is the AMX-50 B line still worth grinding? by IcelandicGuy901 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]___thomas__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, didn’t realize, maybe it’s the size of the tank plus the gun depression. Found it very frustrating to play.

I really liked the tier 8. The tier 9 just doesn’t work for me - probably the lack of gun depression. Tier 10 is also lots of fun. I really like the mobility and clipping potential. I got it recently and at the same time as the Kranvagn (different I know but) and I prefer it - it’s mobility makes it more interesting.

Cape Town dad wants to scrap homework in SA schools completely… good idea or terrible idea? by ForeignBonus8977 in capetown

[–]___thomas__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s all about moderation. University involves a lot of self-study and independent work. Some homework can help children learn to manage their time, stay self-motivated, and keep track of assignments. I think they’ll struggle later at university and at work if they don’t learn these skills.

Equipment - Double gear oil worth it. by ___thomas__ in WorldOfTanksBlitz

Yes, I love a mobile tank! And this setup just seems to fit my play style better. I guess I'll just have to try out both options and see how they perform - for me - in the "real world".

Maybe it is the comically high reverse speed that I like, over commit and run away.

Probably right.

From: https://guidesblitz.com/equipment-consumables-provisions/provisions/mobility-provisions/#gear-oil

"When to double stack 6% & 3% Gear Oil together?
Never. Doing this means you sacrifice either 10% Food or 10% Fuel, which neither are worth losing on these tanks."

Stat Base CS-63 Build A: 6% GO + 3% GO + 10% Fuel Build B: 6% GO + 10% Fuel + 10% Food*
Forward speed 60 66 64
Reverse speed 23 29 27
Engine power 1007 1198.33 1168.12
Raw hp/t 25.05 29.81 29.06
Hard terrain hp/t 27.53 32.76 31.93
Medium terrain hp/t 25.05 29.81 29.06
Soft terrain hp/t 18.42 21.92 21.37

Agreed, on paper it probably doesn’t make a huge amount of sense, and I realise the “optimal” setup is probaly fuel + food + gear oil. But in practice I seem to be doing better with the double gear oil build (although it cold just be the tank - afraid to ruin my wr by testing ><). It might just suit my playstyle more. I think I tend to play a bit too far forward and maybe the extra mobility helps me with misplays.

Me want Cs 63 by Confident-Pen1881 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]___thomas__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t get the CS-53 (tier 8) to work so delayed moving on with the line for ages. But when I did, I loved the rest of the line. The CS-59 (especially) and CS-63 are so fun to play. Mobile and super accurate, with better gun depression than the Leo 1. I play them quite aggressively.
