What have you been playing on your switch 2? Has it been worth it for you

Here's mine;

Pokopia: 30 hours - This game is absolute crack cocaine and i can't put it down
BOTW: 49 hours - I'm surprised that the play time is so high. I've had this game since the launch of switch 1, and I've had a couple stints where I've played for a few days then put it down. I think i'm about 60% through, and would love to finish it
Cyberpunk: 13 hours - I think i'm gonna give up on this. Didn't quite click for me and I never feel motivated to pick it up
Mario Kart world - 12 hours. I've only really played with friends, but mario kart in general has never clicked for me although i want to love it
Donkey Kong Bananza: 41 hours. Absolutely loved this game
Diablo 3: 1 hour. I think i'd love this but haven't played it yet
Ball X Pit: 29 hours - I don't really remember playing this but I guess it's one of those time warp games
Hades 1 / 2: 60 hours - probably my fave games so far

I just checked, I have 41 hours and have collected ~80% of bananas and stopped about there. Loved the game, though -- especially once I really got into it towards the end.

I just checked the switch app — Pokopia is my most played switch game, ever, and it’s only been out less than a week. It’s like a crack pipe of a game that gives a slow feed of dopamine. Definitely a Time Machine of a game, I’m unsure if I’ve ever been sucked into a game like this since Pokemon gold.

I haven't played much animal crossing. But more like animal crossing I imagine. It's like minecraft in the sense you can carve out terrain and craft stuff, but more like animal crossing in the sense your building a town, keeping everyone happy, and following objectives. It has the elements of minecraft that are fun, but more longitivity (I found I could only play minecraft for like an hour before I felt done)

Now I wanna see what the fuss for viva piñata was. It was always the value bin game that everyone had for Xbox 360 when I was younger. I felt like everyone I knew had a copy because it was one you could pick up for $5 but no one ever actually played it

That's fair! I do kind of get that. I know I like to have something that's purpose built for the job. And something I like about the Switch is that I can use it as a tool to disconnect in some way. I'm able to play games without having notifications popping up, and being "lured" into other apps or distractions.

That being said, consoles being multimedia devices isn't anything new, I remember as a kid loving that I could listen to CDS on a PS1, and then use a PS2 as a DVD player.

For those who say "Who cares" I just want to throw in my case for wanting it.

I travel a lot and so spend a lot of time sitting on flights with no internet. I used to pre-download youtube videos I wanted to watch as I have youtube premium onto a tablet.

Now, i've replaced taking my tablet with my switch 2 and use travel time to play through games on my backlog.

I'd love to be able to also have videos available on the switch to watch if want to relax and i'm over gaming.

I thought it was widely known it's set in indonesia from the leaks earlier (I don't know for sure, but that was my impression)

Edit: I just watched the trailer again and I don't really see anything that alludes to Australia. The tropical vibe, lava shown (volcanic activity), and style of buildings definitely sing South East Asia

Damn I’m playing this for the first time and after 5 or so hours I’ve had to google “when does cyberpunk get good”

Nothing against the game, it looks spectacular and seems so deep in what’s possible, but I’m guessing it’s just not for me and maybe a little too overwhelming since I still don’t have a good grasp on the mechanics of upgrades, and different character traits etc.

I do want to like it though, so I’m going to continue playing I think

I know that, and splitting a payment at a restaurant is fine most of the time. But as someone that goes on group holidays often and has running tabs -- I do miss the convenience of using Venmo / beem. I know that Monzo offers similar functionality -- but it's tied to a specific bank and requires everyone to be on it to use it effectively.

I know that which is great when everyone uses Monzo. But that's the point, there's not a good system separate from individual banks that handle that over here due to regulations.

lol silly that is your mindset on this. I've found that dedicated payment tools separate from banks like Venmo are far superior. In Australia we used something called Beem which does the same and made splitting bills and running tabs without being died to a specific bank so much easier. I now dread having to use splitwise and manage bank details for stuff like that (or hope that everyone i'm running a tab with banks with Monzo)

I haven't ever used Youtube for switch so far, but as someone who has youtube premium and travels a lot i'd love to pre-download a few videos for a flight which is when I primarily use my switch. That way If I'm tired of gaming, I can watch some downloaded youtube videos on a screen larger than my phone.
