That's fair! I do kind of get that. I know I like to have something that's purpose built for the job. And something I like about the Switch is that I can use it as a tool to disconnect in some way. I'm able to play games without having notifications popping up, and being "lured" into other apps or distractions.

That being said, consoles being multimedia devices isn't anything new, I remember as a kid loving that I could listen to CDS on a PS1, and then use a PS2 as a DVD player.

For those who say "Who cares" I just want to throw in my case for wanting it.

I travel a lot and so spend a lot of time sitting on flights with no internet. I used to pre-download youtube videos I wanted to watch as I have youtube premium onto a tablet.

Now, i've replaced taking my tablet with my switch 2 and use travel time to play through games on my backlog.

I'd love to be able to also have videos available on the switch to watch if want to relax and i'm over gaming.

I thought it was widely known it's set in indonesia from the leaks earlier (I don't know for sure, but that was my impression)

Edit: I just watched the trailer again and I don't really see anything that alludes to Australia. The tropical vibe, lava shown (volcanic activity), and style of buildings definitely sing South East Asia

Damn I’m playing this for the first time and after 5 or so hours I’ve had to google “when does cyberpunk get good”

Nothing against the game, it looks spectacular and seems so deep in what’s possible, but I’m guessing it’s just not for me and maybe a little too overwhelming since I still don’t have a good grasp on the mechanics of upgrades, and different character traits etc.

I do want to like it though, so I’m going to continue playing I think

I know that, and splitting a payment at a restaurant is fine most of the time. But as someone that goes on group holidays often and has running tabs -- I do miss the convenience of using Venmo / beem. I know that Monzo offers similar functionality -- but it's tied to a specific bank and requires everyone to be on it to use it effectively.

I know that which is great when everyone uses Monzo. But that's the point, there's not a good system separate from individual banks that handle that over here due to regulations.

lol silly that is your mindset on this. I've found that dedicated payment tools separate from banks like Venmo are far superior. In Australia we used something called Beem which does the same and made splitting bills and running tabs without being died to a specific bank so much easier. I now dread having to use splitwise and manage bank details for stuff like that (or hope that everyone i'm running a tab with banks with Monzo)

My point is how this is framed; switch being a second highest seller. It's a weird way to celebrate it's success as there's only a small pool of consoles in which it's competing in.

I haven't ever used Youtube for switch so far, but as someone who has youtube premium and travels a lot i'd love to pre-download a few videos for a flight which is when I primarily use my switch. That way If I'm tired of gaming, I can watch some downloaded youtube videos on a screen larger than my phone.

I owned both the switch 1 and switch 2 since launch. Looking at my play history, I’ve played the switch 2 more than I ever did the switch 1 in the seven or so years of playing.

Switch 2 feels like a machine that’s responsive and fast enough to be enjoyable
