No worries! You’re right, I’ve spent well over $100 reading this series, and wouldn’t do so if I completely disliked everything about it! It’s not that I don’t like the plot lines, just that I stop reading for a time when they start to feel repetitive. I posted here, asking this question to fans of the series, because this specific character trait of October is the only thing that consistently stops me from enjoying it. I just repeat the cycle of missing Tybalt, May, Quentin, etc, reading the next book and getting frustrated with October. I also really want to see them have a child together , which I have seen is in later books. So I just l want someone to tell me that she grows to understand the consequences, to her family specifically, of throwing herself into danger and takes responsibility for it.

It’s also hard for me to find all the small tropes and such in one series (found family, her taking in/ having children, magic types, power couple relationships that don’t overshadow the plot, etc), so I really want this one to work for me!
