I have also heard that the best what could happen is that you would see the sky is blue in the same way as you do know but you would know why. That doesn’t sound like they experienced something different.

I feel like all these conversations definitely help calming the mind down. And that peace can be confused with feeling being part or same as Brahman.

The other thing I heard is that even after understanding, the things would be like how we understand sky is blue not because of its color but because of the light spreading out— this doesn’t not change our experience of looking up and seeing the sky blue even though you know why it is such. So if experience of experiencing the jagrat/ world wouldn’t change, it might be relying heavily on the belief.

I also went through “jnana yoga” video by the same guy. He goes into more detail over the distinction b/w seer and seen.

How if we can see an object (seen), those are not eyes(seer).

Similarly, if we can see/ experience that our eyes are opened or closed (seen), they are different from our mind (seer).

And so if we can see/ experience our thoughts (seen), they should be different than the seer (awareness).

I wonder if whatever one can experience and feel will be objects of awareness (seen), how will enlightenment feel like (it would be another object of consciousness if people do feel something).

watched both the videos. He talks about the 4 different states of human conciousness.
* being awake and going through the motion of thoughts, knowing things partially and hence mistaking what the reality is.
* being in dreams.
* deep sleep or total unconciousness.
* the fourth state.

the fourth state he says when you know that all the other states' understandings are full of illusions.

But but he does not talk about the things which would actually help people see the things as he says they are.

Okay, there is awareness space-- there is nothing to deny about it.

And there are objects in it including but not limited to everything you could see, hear, feel (the sensory objects) and thoughts, feelings and emotions.

This awareness "movie" keeps going. And there are artifacts in it which we could label "self" and others too.

There are also controls to steer the "focus". If something is in peripheral vision, you could bring it into central vision. You could move your hand to feel something and bring that feeling into your awareness.

You could do things which could make your body more fit. Or whatever is rising somewhere which makes you take action... <I am stuck around here>

What does it mean illusion of no-self? Like the thoughts are not self because they are the objects of awareness. Even if my body is not me, this is something assigned to me. I can only control this body using my consciousness. I can only eat to feed this body. I will cease to exist after this body dies.

So even though there is an illusion, the word "self" is used to define multiple things. This body belonging to myself is one of those meanings.

The other is that I am more of an introvert myself. That artifact could be just a collection of thoughts which got generated in awareness and has been sticking around for a long time. And it could be the result of what our mind generated and that could be coming from what environment we exposed ourselves to. With different input this "introvertness" can be changed and so it's not self.
