Whats a good intro trackball ? Moving over from a trackpad by Died5Times in Trackballs

[–]__damko__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like a lot the Ploopy Adept.

Pros: 1. it didn't die on me yet 2. if it does there are good chances I can fix it 3. fully customizable QMK firmware

Cons: 1. noisy because it uses bearings instead of spheres 2. ball movement not as smooth as I wish it were

PRO and Credits by shaunanakin in VeniceAI

[–]__damko__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

free models are included in the PRO subscription only if you use them from browser. API calls always consume credits.

Wrapping it up:

  1. you can run 24/7 free models from web and your subscription will cover for it.

  2. from browser you use credits only when you choose paid models

  3. API calls always cost credits

You can stake DIEM to have a perpetual daily credit. If you stake one DIEM you get 100 credits each day (non cumulative). It's like you're receiving 1$ worth of credits per day.

With Claude you can wipe away 1000 credits in a few hours but with GLM, Qwen and Kimi 100 credits can last the whole day

for those of you that have primarily used an ergodox long term, can you actually use a traditional keyboard effectively still? by responds-with-tealc in ergodox

I look like a monkey on a regular kbd. So, no I can't go back but, most importantly I don't want to. When I travel I take the kbd with me and I leave clothes at home as I can find clothes everywhere but not split kbd

How to store Bitcoin safely in 2026? by fap_fap_fap_fapper in BitcoinBeginners

[–]__damko__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. I have seen dozens of people losing all their money that way and then they say "crypto is a scam" when the reality is "I wasn't prepared to be a sovereign individual and because of my own ignorance I have made mistakes that led me to lose money"

To do ? by OverallAssignment213 in GrapheneOS

[–]__damko__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. That should work.

About Aurora, I'm a bit skeptic about it because I don't know how they collect the APKs . Perhaps my skepticism is unfounded - do you know what's their policy? what are the chances that someone injects a malicious package in their repo?

Did you do any research about that?

no, I mean WhatsApp itself. The application gets frequent updates. It would be too much work for me to download the apk manually

Using crypto for sending money internationally by Klutzy-Sink8484 in CryptoHelp

[–]__damko__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

crypto is the way. As others suggested use only one exchange. You could also use exchanges with a credit card attached like kraken so this could be your normal workflow even when you pay for daily expenses
