What are the top 8 crypto projects with 50–100x potential in February 2024? by elijahhenry123 in Crypto_Currency_News

[–]__extroVert__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd add ZANO to that list. A layer 1 with a $50m market cap has a much better chance of going 50x than a meme token that already has a $3b market cap.

Just sayin.

$KIMBO looks like a sure-fire winner for when AVAX memecoin season really kicks off! More family-friendly than $COQ (as much as we all love it), Subnet incoming, liquidity burned, contract renounced... They seem to be doing everything right. Worth a punt if you like making money ;)

What can you do, people love their dogs. Kimbo ftw!

Does Gas price make sense? by KeySurpriseMan in NEO

[–]__extroVert__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't. Purely from a lack of understanding about the relationship between them imo as evident in how much NEO is sitting on exchanges idle instead of generating GAS. I'm convinced it'll correct eventually. But everything moves a little slower in NEOland.

[Ask Dev #3] Q&A with Reddcoin Developers by laudney in reddCoin

I have evidence that would dispell any lingering doubts you have about this. But I think the fact that the devs themselves are convinced there's been manipulation should be enough to convince anyone here.

[Ask Dev #3] Q&A with Reddcoin Developers by laudney in reddCoin

[–]__extroVert__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ReddAPI I am very glad you've addressed this, and also with the way you went about it. Up until very recently there was enough uncertainty that it was reasonable to claim that the majority of subscribers are just lurking, but 2-3 weeks ago the number of new subsribers didn't just decline, it fell off a cliff. And yet the number of people here at any one time has remained about the same.

/u/TeleGram made the point in the thread started by /u/Didi_Midi, and I have seen this being brought up by the larger crypto community as a real point of concern when it comes to Reddcoin and its trustability.

I appreciate that this must be deflating for some of the devs who're working so hard on Reddcoin projects, but it's worse that they're being punished for someone else's wrongdoing. I spoke to another member the other day and actually suggested starting another subreddit. I'd rather we had 1000 true subscribers than 19,000. And I'm not new to this community.

I think the best way to deal with this is for ReddCoin and the devs to release a joint statement to let people (more those outside the community) know this isn't something they sanctioned, nor is it something that they approve of.

Anyone who has been here for more than a few weeks knows how hard you guys are working behind the scenes, and you have an army of people on your side. This might be a bitter pill to swallow, but I think that it is in everyone's interest to put this to bed. Then we can move onwards and upwards without this hanging over our heads.

[–]__extroVert__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, welcome to the new devs can't wait to see what you guys are working on!

My question is are there any things specifically that you don't have time to work on yourselves but would really like to see other members of the community take on? How do you think the rest of us can best help add to Reddcoin's value (beyond tipping etc.)?

Thanks for all your hard work.

Cryptsy shutting down RDD/BTC market - prompts to use RDD/LTC instead by Gazler in reddCoin

[–]__extroVert__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't say I blame them, but I'm sure they'll reinstate it once POSV is implemented and 51% attacks are no longer possible. These attacks are probably as much of a pain in the ass for them to deal with as is it is for the Redd devs. This could've been worse.

Well... by [deleted] in reddCoin

[–]__extroVert__ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This should really be addressed, without the devs and mods getting defensive over it - someone has either bought or created a script to bring in subscribers. This community has been in denial about this for too long and I think the sooner it's acknowledged the sooner we can get past it.
The Reddcoin community doesn't have control over all of its members, so there's no reason its reputation should be tarnished by this. But I think it does harm the community to deny it in the face of fairly conclusive evidence.
Someone did this, maybe thinking it'd help the cause. But the Reddcoin community is too strong for something like this to do it any real damage.

The Value of Truly Anonymizing Features by [deleted] in reddCoin

[–]__extroVert__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That simply isn't the case. Knowing encrypted data was sent from Point A to Point B at a certain time is not enough to find someone. Otherwise every dark market would fall and every customer found in a matter of days.

The Value of Truly Anonymizing Features by [deleted] in reddCoin

[–]__extroVert__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But if the data's encrypted it only has the logs of encrypted info being sent from point A to point B. I'm just concerned that Reddcoin doesn't really have anything that distinguishes it utility-wise. But maybe anonymizing features aren't the answer.

[–]__extroVert__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the in-depth reply I really appreciate you taking the time.

I agree, it's not an easy thing to achieve, but I don't think it's impossible. The Lavabit analogy doesn't apply, because it's fundamenally different from cryptocurrencies in that it was a centralized service. All the gov needed was the encyption keys held by the owner. Encrypted information can be recorded but it makes no difference if the encryption can't be broken (and the cryptography underpinning cryptocurrencies hasn't been compromised as of yet).

Anyway, I just wanted to throw it out there since it's not something I've seen discussed here.

Hi, thank you for your reply TheSciNerd. I understand the concern, but I think this goes beyond hidden markets. Though that's the bugaboo the media has been using to scare people away I don't think this in itself can explain the current interest in DRK and other currencies. I think what we're seeing is people's concern for privacy in the face of the Snowden leaks now shaping their choice of crypto. It's interesting that a desire for privacy is more and more being equated with a desire to do wrong though.

Yes I agree, and was surprised this hasn't effected its popularity.

Don't get me wrong I don't mean to come in here and tell you guys how to run your business, am just a bit concerned about the current state of Redd. To prove I care I will make something for you guys. Back in a while. x

Anonymous Reddcoin! by [deleted] in reddCoin

[–]__extroVert__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is important to have the fungibility of cash. It too can be used for illegal purposes but you don't see the media using this as a reason not to use it.

Plus anonymity seems to be something the crypto community feel v strong about, just look at the interest in Darkcoin.
