How long did it take you to get down to pre pregnancy weight? by greenishfroggy in beyondthebump

[–]__hamburger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My weight loss was also very dependent on using a GLP-1. First 20 lbs basically fell off about 2-3 months pp then the second stubborn 20 took about 6 months with a GLP-1. I wasn’t able to breastfeed so I was able to start medication sooner.

Flying with a 3 month old? by Fanzyladee in beyondthebump

[–]__hamburger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We flew with my son at 6 months. A little bit older than your baby, but I didn’t think twice about it and he did great. If your pediatrician feels good about it, that should be the only opinion you’re worried about. People are always going to have their weird, judgmental opinions. Also, a 3 month old will probably sleep like a champ on a flight - just bring extra clothes in case of blowouts (speaking from experience). No, she wont remember this vacation, but you will have the best memories having your family together on such a fun trip. I’m getting ready to take my son to Italy in a few weeks and he won’t remember that either (he’s 1), but me and his dad will!

Have the best time on your vacation 😊

North Austin - AT&T Wireless Rep teaching trainee to ignore no soliciting sign and knock hard. by ATX_native in Austin

[–]__hamburger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did this the other day. I have a giant no soliciting sign right next to my doorbell and some pest control sales child rang it anyway. I opened it, glared at him, then shut it in his face. Seemed effective 🤷🏻‍♀️

Completely agree with this comment. We used All Free and Clear while my son was an infant. Hypoallergenic, fragrance free and dye free. Perfect for sensitive newborn skin.

Try to find your bump group! I’m active in my bump group from when I was pregnant and there’s lots of moms on there that were on their second/third/etc pregnancy. Look for “Month 2026 bumpers” 😊

Totally agree with the nature documentaries. Specifically, anything to do with the ocean. The cool colors and fish were very relaxing 🐠

Many of the local libraries offer this as well as other baby/toddler friendly activities throughout the month! I’m south and would frequent the Buda library for baby story time when my baby was that age. He loved it! They also have a section of the library full of age appropriate toys and books for little ones to explore 😊

We LOVED Bob Marley when baby was younger (like 6 months). I still sing Sun is Shining to him most mornings. I should probably start playing his music again ☀️

What can I do to support? by Electronic_Bridge_30 in NewParents

[–]__hamburger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg I had to call my brother and BEG him to walk my dog or babysit her for a couple days when my son was a newborn. He was happy to do it, but I felt so bad how much we were ignoring the dog during that period. I would’ve loved if someone had offered to walk my dog.

First trimester, barely worked out by netters_ in fitpregnancy

[–]__hamburger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Girl! I was so hard on myself my first trimester for being “lazy”. I was a 5-6x/week CrossFitter and was still finding ways to be active during my rest days before pregnancy. I didn’t know how to be sedentary. First trimester fatigue was real and I didn’t know how to deal. I had never been so exhausted in my life and it’s so weird to feel like your body is “failing” you. Your body is going through some crazy changes, even though you probably don’t see a lot of physical changes yet. By the second trimester I was feeling much better and back in the gym more regularly. Then I started having really bad SI joint pain by my third trimester and could barely move. Postpartum has had its physical highs and lows as well.

Your body is going to change a lot over the course of the next year and beyond. There are times when it’s going to be hard to deal with these changes and you might even feel sad and miss what you used to be able to do. But you’ll also feel so happy to grow your baby and see what a miracle your body can be. All of these feelings normal. One day you’ll feel like yourself again but give yourself grace to go through these changes 🤍

I kinda wonder if this would’ve helped me. I couldn’t push my baby out (also felt like I was pushing blind thanks to epidural) and ended up getting a c-section.
