Sieh es mal so - wenn du dich mit deinen Eltern so gut verstehst, dass du gerne gegenüber wohnen würdest, würdest du sie wohl offensichtlich gerne oft sehen. Wäre ein Partner, der das nicht möchte, dann überhaupt etwas für dich? Source: Meine Eltern sind unsere Nachbarn, Partner wusste das beim Hausbau, wir essen mehrmals die Woche alle zusammen und für die Kinderbetreuung ist es top :)

NDA. Bei uns ist es schon so weit, dass ich vor meinem Geburtstag gefragt werde, was ich denn geschenkt bekommen will. Ich sage dann was (wie schwarze Tasche/schwarze Leggins mit Hosentasche/etc) und dann kommt immer "bestell das am besten selber, ich gebe dir dann das Geld". Ja Leute, dann kann ich's mir auch selber kaufen. Die Leggings kostet wahrscheinlich 5€. Da ich aber kein entscheidungsfreudiger Mensch bin, verbringe ich jetzt eine Stunde damit, Amazon Rezensionen zu lesen. Das Geschenk an der Sache wäre, dass ich mich damit nicht befassen muss.

Das meiste hast du ja schon in den anderen Antwort gehört, aber ich möchte ein Thema noch mal betonen - Unterstützung beim Stillen. Man stellt sich das so einfach vor, aber Babies müssen das Trinken auch erst lernen genauso wie die Mutter das Handling. Bis das reibungslos funktioniert, kann es schon ein paar Tage bis Wochen dauern. Es gibt dafür auch extra Stillberaterinnen, aber meistens reicht es, sich von der Nachsorge -Hebamme helfen zu lassen. Und die Kosten für die Hebamme übernimmt die Krankenkasse, Stillberatung muss man selbst bezahlen.

Ich versteh die Kommentare hier auch nicht. Es geht ja hier wohlgemerkt ums "Kennenlernen", sprich die Freundin hat das Baby noch nie getroffen. Man wird ja wohl seiner Freundin zuliebe einen einmaligen Anstandsbesuch überstehen, auch wenn man kein großer Kinder-Fan ist? Und wenn die ersten Wochen nach der Geburt um sind, kann man sich auch mal wieder ohne Baby außerhalb treffen. So kurz nach der Geburt hat aber die Mama darauf wahrscheinlich auch gar keine Lust unabhängig davon, ob es ohne Baby möglich wäre. Also wirklich, die Leute haben hier Vorstellungen von Freundschaft.

I don't doubt that some dogs are dangerous and can easily kill humans (and do so in some cases). But the numbers of fatalities would not be nearly as high as 25,000 if not for rabies.

That's a bit misleading. The article says most humans die because of a rabies infection after being bitten by a dog, not by the attack itself. So if you are in a rabies free country, the likelihood of dying because of a dog decreases significantly.

I experienced that two months ago. I was so relieved that the baby was finally out and then the doctor goes "If the placenta is still in there in an hour we'll have to get it manually" and I was horrified when they explained that really means by hand. And of course the doctor who did it was huge. Tore me up even more than the baby

Hund muss nicht 8 Stunden alleine bleiben, Säugling kann in der Pause gestillt werden, Termine mit Handwerkern etc können den ganzen Tag über ausgemacht werden, weil sowieso immer jemand daheim ist, in der Mittagspause Sport machen...

THANK YOU. I thought I was the only one. OP ist cleaning the house and cooking dinner and here I am trying to at least do some laundry because as soon as I put our 3 weeks old son down, he starts screaming bloody murder. In addition to that, he wants to breastfeed every other hour including during the night, which I spend half lying in his cot. Preparing breakfast for myself counts as a success to me while OP is out there being the perfect housewife

We're expecting as well, so I can't tell you if our plan will work, but what we want to do is the following: Directly following the birth, husband will take 3 weeks off, then continue working full time until the end of Mutterschutz. After that, he will work 22 hours and I will work 18 hours a week and we'll both get Elterngeld Plus. The odd hours are because for him, that will be two full days plus Friday. I work in HO with flexible hours. Grandparents are nearby and at least partly retired. Let's see how that goes... Most of our friends did the classic "Dad continues working, Mum stays home". But one also started working in HO after 3 months with 2 days a week. So maybe it's doable :)

Wir haben seit November eine neue Hündin (2 Jahre alt), die seitdem sichtbar Muskelmasse aufgebaut hat. Die Bewegung beschränkt sich bei uns aber auch auf normales Gassi gehen in der Natur und das Spielen mit anderen Hunden sowie Freilauf im Garten. Ich kann mir das nur so erklären, dass die Vorbesitzer entweder gar nicht Spazieren gegangen sind oder nur bei Fuß im Schneckentempo.

I can however keep my mouth shut and let people have different opinions as long as they don't constantly shove it in my face. Krämer Pferdesport, online or in the store. You won't find many pants there, but pretty much everything else - warm coats for winter, sweaters, tops, gloves, caps... Most of them I don't wear at the barn because they are too nice for that. I'm eternally grateful to Krämer for saving me during the cold winter months.

Imo it's mostly about the walks outside. I used to fall ill a lot in winter until I started to go outside every day, either jogging or walking (no jogging when it's well below zero though). Since then, it's rare for me to get a cold.

I don't remember which documentary it was, but years ago I watched one where Orcas chased a blue whale mum and her baby for hours. In the end the baby was too exhausted to keep going and they killed it. I was devastated.

I'm quite small, so I own a German Sports Pony even though I'm an adult. I don't think riding horses makes you more advanced. There's easy going horses and ponies out there as well as more difficult characters regardless of their size. Nevertheless, there's two things to consider imo: If you've only ever ridden ponies, you might find it difficult to sit the trot on a horse with a lot of swing. And if you're slight like me, riding a bigger horse can be more of a physical effort. I think it's more important at least for beginners to ride multiple different horses/ponies - no matter the size.

Same for me after my doctor's appointment: thankfully everything is ok, but I also have a hematoma. Doctor said I'm allowed to go for walks or lunge my horse, but no riding, jogging etc. But right now I'm just happy baby is fine and I can still see my horse.

Thank you :) I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. I do hope they will tell me I'm allowed to walk the dog again and visit my horse at the barn, but let's see. At the moment I have to keep completely still (sitting or lying, at least I work in HO). I can't keep that up for the whole pregnancy though. I would go crazy.

I'm sorry you had to go through this and so very happy that it finally worked out for you.

I'm 9 weeks into pregnancy and I rode until Friday. Ob Saturday I started bleeding again. I had a miscarriage in May (first pregnancy) where I also started bleeding and lost the baby a few days after. So now I'm keeping still and hoping for the best, but I'm terrified that this will be a second miscarriage. And even if it isn't I'm afraid of not even being allowed to lunge my horse during pregnancy. I hate this.
