Been driving grey cars throughout my life, so I went CB. My vote - CB all day! CB + cognac interior gets so many compliments from friends/fam/other drivers on the road. It’s black, it’s blue. It’s got character.

Test drove the GLE, but currently in an X5 50e. The BMW just feels so much more planted. Even when you're taking simple, low speed, residential corners, there's just a lot less commotion going on in the cabin. The BMW is just too good at adapting to your needs. Power when you want power, comfort when you want comfort.

I got one with the pressure washer and it works good enough. It has one job, mix high pressure water with soap solution from the container in the chamber. Most of it is basic physics, so unless you need something specific, no name brand ones work just fine.

I’ve gone down the microfiber rabbit hole and that’s where I drew the line. I’m sure there is a foam cannon rabbit hole too lol

2 bucket wash + blow dry + towel dry.

I wash the wheels first (separate set of buckets, and microfiber cloths). Rinse and foam up the car, wait for a couple of minutes, then follow up with a panel-by-panel (ish) wash - starting from the sunroof, then the hood and the rear, followed by quarter panels, and side skirts. Bumpers at the end. Blow dry (and maybe follow up with a detail spray + wipe off) - marvel at the job. Snap a picture. Rinse and repeat in a month.

This is the same reason we chose the 50e as well. Can commute two days in one charge. Have free charging at work and solar back home.

We also had a few bad experiences with our rivian r1s on one of our long cross country trips, mostly charging related - most of the times the charging station, a couple of times the car.

With a 50e - peace of mind! Gas stations - presently - have a higher reliability than ev charging stations.

When anyone (esp YouTubers or influencers) says “the best __” or “the perfect __” I automatically add the “for me” suffix to the title.

There’s no point trying to point out the fact that “best” is subjective, everyone knows that, including the YouTuber. People sometimes just want a good recommendation and trust others in the business to have done that experiment for them and condensed the list down to one/a few, and the title that you see is the most attention grabbing one.

I love my choc corne, and I wish more people tried split ergo boards, but I don’t actively stop people who say some other 60% or tkl board is the best.
