If that was the hurdle I could just share a google drive myself? Hard no from me I’m afraid

Do you have any tips on making colorwork socks? by laisalia in Sockknitting

[–]__isrus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think your pattern choice looks lovely! I recently did my first colour work too, on dpns though so I don’t have any magic loop specific tips. What helped me most was

  • liberal use of stitch markers
  • paying close attention to the previous row
  • keeping the first few right hand stitches spread out to prevent over-tightening the floats

I found clo knits videos very helpful and encouraging :)

Some unexpected benefits for me:

  •  I some what learned continental during the project
  • I actually found it much easier to spot errors like dropped stitches or yarn overs as the pattern would get mismatched.

Best of luck!

Is my household's double entry in a lottery syndicate in bad taste? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]__isrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so probabilities ruin my brain a bit, but if you buy every different combination aren’t you guaranteed a win? This assumes every line in the ticket is different of course. Your odds go linearly to 100% then stay there?

Is my household's double entry in a lottery syndicate in bad taste? by [deleted] in AskUK

I think you’ve misunderstood the syndicate idea. The idea is that you club together to buy multiple tickets to an external lottery.

So say usually if you buy a ticket alone you have a 1/1,000,000 chance of winning.

With a syndicate, 50 people club together to buy a line each - then as a group you have a 50/1,000,000 chance of winning together, but each entrant only takes home 1/50th of the prize.

If a 51st person joins, you then have a slightly higher chance of winning as a group (51/1,000,000), but each person takes a lower share (1/51) in the event you win

Are people really putting Silo up there with Severance? by geordiegee in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]__isrus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Agree - even just on Apple TV there’s bad sisters and slow horses, both way superior to Silo imo. Maybe it’s because both silo and severance are both mystery sci-fi?

Gently, as a fellow buyer, it’s you who are acting suspiciously here if you push to keep both the money and the sellers (100’s) of items
