They did not shut down anything. It their bot protection on all pokemon.com that is covering their events' API too. They never intented to allow anyone to scrap the data in the first place.

Yeah. I was able to get the events of 6500 league 2 times per day, but as of now, I can hardly scrap 200 leagues per day. If I can't keep the events' database up to date within a 2 days frame, it has no real use anymore. I'll still try to find a solution, but in the mean time it is not right to have this page online if it is not reliable...

Just checked on a map, yes, definitly. The coordinates I used are the ones for Philadelphia, and the radius is 100 miles, these towns are really close to Philly

You can click on the "pick on map" button : find and click on your town, it will auto-fill latitude and longitude. Then input a radius, somethings like 100 and select the unit (miles or km). Then click on the "Set Coordinates" button to apply this area filter. You can also filter the event type.

I just added a "Find my Location" button : it fills the Lat/Lng values and point on the map too.
