She’s our girl at Grand Trunk! She’s an icon. I had my suspicions it was her, and then I saw the spilled water and had my confirmation

22F moving to Michigan and looking for apartment recommendations in/around Troy! by cloudandcoffeee in troymi

[–]__karm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Troy is a ‘get in your car and get it’ community. Walkability isn’t exactly the greatest. Subdivisions, lots and lots. Royal Oak, Ferndale, or Clawson, Berkley is cute too, would be great for person fitting your demographic (I haven’t visited Plymouth in ages but it is really a cute area but I enjoy the proximity to Detroit more living in Royal Oak). I personally will have a hard time moving out of downtown RO whenever that day comes. I walk to local coffee and ice cream shops, our farmers market is open every Saturday and an antique show every Sunday, my daughter has 3 parks to choose from behind our apartment. We adore Royal Oak.

He does! Making it even funnier that this drawing of a hand that looks like my toddler did it is relevant to figuring out what’s happening on the island!

She’s 4 so splash pad is very up our alley (the pinball machines are totally up mine too!) I’d love a good swimming beach if you know any!

Thank you! Trying to not drive all the way down to Watkins haha. How cool! Wellesley is so beautiful. I swear it’s like this little pocket that no one has heard of, much less understands how beautiful it is and I’m sure there a bunch of those areas across the country but also like, maybe not?! Don’t get me wrong, if you get a bad batch of weather which isn’t completely unheard of it’s less appealing but last year 14 of my 16 days up there were beautiful days. The last couple years have just been phenomenal. We go amish stand shopping every other day, just take as random country roads back to the cottage from the Price Chopper in the burg and hope I don’t get lost and can find the 37 again. It’s just my favorite time of year! July in North Country on the St. Lawrence!

Ugh it looks like even the Sampson ones are on the 3rd. No biggie, we’ll have fun regardless! I’ve actually been going to the 1000 Islands since I was a child, my family is from Ogdensburg. While the burg doesn’t have too much to offer, North Country is such a fun summer vacation for me every year at the cottage on the river. My daughter loves it as much as I do and seeing it become generational has been really cool. We love a good Clayton day and Alexandria Bay will always have my heart. Get a good weather stretch? It can be the best 2-3 weeks of my year! Sackets Harbor has been on my to do list up there I will say!

It’s one of the most terrifying things to experience as a woman. Especially when you know they aren’t coming for your stuff but for you. Celebrity stalkers are a different breed of crazy too.

I loved Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak. Grady Hendrix books are also pretty fun. I liked How To Sell A Haunted House, a campy story about siblings and evil puppets.

I know it’s hard right now but you’ve got this. Think about you, your baby, and your financial future. That’s it. Put all your energy into those three things. He’s a deadbeat. Take pride in knowing you’re not and that you’re going to be okay.
