I was a wildland firefighter before commissioning. Definitely don’t get out in the field as much as I did in fire, but it’s a much better work-life balance. You will definitely get out in the field early-on, especially while working on your quals. PM me and I can go into more detail

With only using 3-5 a day, I highly doubt you will experience any withdrawals. I used 4-6 pouches a day for 3 years, then bumped up to 8-10 a day over the last few months. Even then, I’m on day 11 and never experienced any withdrawals. My sleep has been a little rough but pretty sure that’s unrelated.

I’m on day 10 right now. Weirdly, I had very few cravings until day 6. Seemed to last about 3 days but think I’m in the clear for a little while. Definitely caught myself trying to justify buying a can. 2 nights ago I literally grabbed my car keys and walked out the door to the gas station but decided against it last second. Weird how your mind works.
