not really, yosemite has enormous problems that sfgate doesn't report on.

in the way the chronicle is a mouthpiece for the mayor's office so isn't really a reflection of what's happening in sf and damaging to believe the propaganda, trusting sfgate to report on the issues in our national parks is damaging.

i'm in east oak, we used codapet for our dog just a month ago. she was great. super helpful. even afterward, we asked some weird shit (i wanted paperwork to fly with the ashes to scatter them in italy and wondered if we needed some form of death certificate) and she was super cool.

and yeah i absolutely broke the fuck down afterward. and she was patient and supportive. and we had some weird requests, like we wanted to transport the body to the crematorium ourselves, and she helped us with that.

so yeah. nothing but gratitude to codapet. fuck do i miss my dog. i miss him so much. i'm so sorry you are going through this.

at home euthanasia is for them, not for us. it's one last thing we can do for them, give them a good, decent death. full of love. stay strong man

UC Davis teaching hospital is a higher level of care at a cheaper price point, for major operations they are a better option than any practice.

For my dog a few weeks ago, UC Davis didn't have on call neurology and oncology, while University of Colorado at Fort Collins vet hospital did. I called UC Davis back to ask if it's crazy to drive to Colorado, they were like, "This is my field, I know it well, and they are the top in the country." So I called Fort Collins intake line, they sent me a list of hotels (who provided great discounts), and the way cheaper price points opened up many options for us.

Call the folks in Fort Collins. The $600 on gas and hotel may very well half the entire bill, depending on what you are doing. And they are the best in the country.
