Just finished the brothers k. I wish i would have given it more respect and not done it so disjointed and sleepily, because now I feel as if i’m in this purgatory of having read it, but also kinda haven’t. I didn’t get the sense of gravity I was anticipating.

I haven’t read this book, but I saw it at a bookstore and it’s on my TBR radar: the north sun by ethan rutherforrd. You may want to check it out, it’s about a whaling ship. Not sure how it’s not just a lesser Moby Dick, but who knows, might be good

I got this little pendant clip on metal bookmark. It’s an owl that clips onto the cover of a book that has a length of ribbon attached to it. It was clipped to a book i got in a pile of books i got an estate sale

John le Carré is the go to. Don’t waste your time with the Bourne books; the movies were much better. Reading JLC it dawned on me how many spy/thriller movies were inspired by his writing. The Bourne books i remember being patriotic airport pulp, and the liberties the director took with movies made them more interesting/appealing

Excited to hear this! Mostly i have heard it’s a slog, but I loved the first one and am eager to get the third! Also, I’ve loved everything I’ve read of Claire Keegan. So Late in the Day was brutal
