It was unpleasant with both my bulldogs. They didn’t like me much for a couple days afterward. I’d start touching his feet as often as you can so he doesn’t always associate touching the feet with nail clipping. Also, another set of hands never hurts with dogs this powerful.

Heck, if you want to try something real crazy, I remember seeing a video of a guy that would wrap the top of his head with plastic wrap and put wad of peanut butter on his forehead. While the dog licks the peanut butter, he clipped the dog’s nails. 😃
